    Guys should I buy this?

    • I got one in the yoshop deal a while back, just a couple of dollars less than this.

Been happy with it. Small and lightweight with a pretty good run time

  • Question: Is there any real-world difference between QC2 and QC3. Wondering if the S8+ would benefit from this over the QC3 variant. Thoughts appreciated.

    • Some threads I have read suggest that the S8 series only support QC2, and that QC2 is charges the phone as fast as the phone can handle.

      I have a S8 and seriously considering

      Confirmed the S8 / S8+ are QC2 only .. see the PDF https://www.qualcomm.com/products/features/quick-charge

      • Yeah the S8/S8+ is QC2 only. Using a QC3 charger will have zero benefit but does future proof yourself for newer phones.

QC3 vs QC2 on a QC3 ready-phone is supposed to charge a little quicker but does so generating less heat I believe (good for my LG V20 where bootlooping is still a possibility)

I presume the factory charger is QC3? And I usually use my QC2 chargers, I don't notice much different in charge times but that's assuming the factory charger is QC3 in the first place, it may not be.

    • Depends on the price difference. I wouldn't pay much more to go from QC2 to 3.

      • How about Anker Powercore Speed 10000 powered by QC3, PowerIQ and VoltageBoost for $59 AUD?

        • For less than half the price, I'd stick with QC2.

      • Interesting - thanks for that

Both deliver 15 Watts (9V x 1.67A, or 5V x 3A) … at the end of the day it will take around 90 mins to full charge an S8/S8+ device using either method

    • The real world difference between QC2 and QC3 is that QC3 is more efficient at charging if your device supports it. You won't charge any quicker but you will get slightly more charges for a given size power pack. I have this one and a Blitz wolf QC3 and I prefer this one.

  • 20% off best ebay price is a lie

  • This was selling for $24.99 in May from the same seller.

Also, 20% off cheapest eBay price is a lie - for example, this seller also has it for $25.99 - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-Xiaomi-Mi-Power-Bank-2-10…

    This is OzBargain, not OzAdvertiseYourProductForFree!

Dear thanks for your question the link you sent is ship from hongkong we ship from Sydney hope you can understand it you can see this price is really good compare other seller ship from Sydney

    • That is grey import, why don't people understand the difference.

      • +3

Grey import? It's a freakin battery! There's no difference between the two.

Grey import usually refers to a device being an international model, and varies in some way e.g. power input/frequency/standards implemented. Why don't people understand the difference?

        • I was referring to the upwards of 7-10 days you save from buying from this seller rather than Hong Kong, yeah cause someone is gonna pay 1c less to wait 7 more days. Plus the warranty if it dies.

@doweyy: The statement from their post was "20% off Best Price in eBay market", which is clearly not. They did not stipulate cheapest Australian stock.

  • I bought this one the other day for $24.59 http://ebay.com.au/itm/152594077508

  • Can some kind soul please explain why a 10,000mAh one is ever preferred over a 50,000mAh one - is it just brand and reputation?
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AU-50000mAh-Slim-Powerbank-Extern…

    • +2

Yes, and the high likelihood that the 50000mah claim is grossly exaggerated.

    • +3

Both. Only an idiot would buy an unbranded powerbank with that capacity - their feedback literally confirms that. "50000 it did not even charge my phone twice, am really annoyed"

    • Prior to Xiaomi power banks existing that exact casing was sold as 10000mAh which I think was even over-exaggerated.

  • The specs are hard to decipher, is this actually QC 2.0 both ways? Or just one direction.

    I got excited thinking it's 20% off $25.99 …misleading title boooo

    It's definitely not cheapest too

    • It's the cheapest for aus stock which doesn't take nearly 3 months to get here like this deal.

      • never took 3 months for me from SS..2 months yes..

      • Thanks for the link, will be purchasing from there instead.

  • Bought one

  • $22.95 delivered from that link thanks Doweyy. Cheers.

  • Bought one, thanks OP! This will be great for an upcoming overseas trip.

  • I'm waiting for QC3 and USB-C to USB-C. Xiami have either/or models but none with both in 1 unit I believe.

    10k or 20k, doesn't matter to me.

  • Can this be used to recharge a nintendo switch?

    • I don't think so. It looks like the Switch requires 15.0V/2.6A to be able to be charged.

  • Perfect timing.

My son broke his yesterday as he was trying to insert a lightning cable into the micro-USB charge port; buggered.

Ordered 2 more (1 for me).
