This receiver has been on my shortlist for while but I ended up buying a Yamaha RX-V681 last week. Has good reviews and it's bigger brother, the X2300W, was one of 2016's best receivers.

      i bought on the previous deals ….. very fast delivery and just needed an AU kettle cord ….. it is a bit low on wattage so if you have some extra coin might want a bigger denim model ….. i was replacing an older 1800 but might not be big deal for most people as it's the number of hdmi, and software features that seems to drive this market.

        From comparing the specs, the X1300 and x1400 appear to be almost identical, except the newer model had "HEOS" support, which looks to be their wireless speaker system (i.e their version of Sonos).

    Great price.

    I am keen on Denon x2300w, which is also just superceeded., currently around aud800, delivered on Amazon de. Unlike the Denon x1300w, it may not have bottomed yet? Currently the savings are less than the x1300w compared to say HN. Price camel says the current price is not the historical lowest price which further suggest not at lowest quite yet.

    Should I wait for lower price? Finding this an interesting exercise in local to overseas purchase options. At least you I have some resonable confidence in dealing through Amazon.

    Separaretly, how have you found Yamaha 681?, its horses for courses out there. There are a few good options, but buyer beware. Just like betting at the races.

      the x2300w is 570 Euros ($A860) from Amazon Italy (including 123 Euros delivery).
      Amazon.de has it for 429 Euros (plus 85 Euros delivery) which is $A771.
      Amazon.co.uk has the x2300w for the excellent price of 329 pounds ($A600) but they dont deliver to Australia.
