Hi there guys! I went to JB HiFi yesterday looking for an M11x. Managed to get the price down of the i3 M11x to $1078 because they were clearing it out. So if you're looking for a cheap R2 M11x, this is the place to go! This model can be purchased from the Dell website for $1449. Enjoy!

The model on the Dell website is i7. This is i3.
Hmm, don't think so. The link I provided goes to the generic M11x page, from there you can customise as required. The base model (i3) is $1449 as stated by OP.
Sorry my bad :)
these dont have inbuild 3g do they? Are there any decent 11" laptops with 3g modems unbuilt?
cheers
call up dell and ask if you can get one with them. they do mods that they don't offer on their website. sadly not at this price though.
Might help to tell people it was purchased at JB Hi-fi Nunawading, VIC.
AFAIK no 3G modem built-in.
Hi everyone! Yes, it was purchased in JB HiFi Nunawading. I had a look on the side of my M11x - it appears to have a 3G modem built in! In the BIOS it also says it has a WWAN. So I think there's a 3G modem here!
Sorry, my bad, I think it was the C2D Australian ones that didn't have a 3G modem
the laptop doesn't have a matte display so it's VERY glossy, can be annoying. also there's no dvd drive but you could always get an external one :P other than that, it's a very good gaming laptop and very good deal you got there
Matte screens are only found on business grade machines these days which is a shame
i thought the best deal here is you get a 11" GAMING LAPTOP for less than $1100. normally GAMING laptop doesnt go that low
Nice, I've been looking at this range.
I might just point out that these come with i3 UM chips, which are different from the full powered i3 chips

Nice deal. However (I dunno if it's just me) but Alienware products in general looks atrocious.
Seen it at a similar price at officeworks too.
Don't think office works ever got the second revision m11x with the i series in them.
ah ok, they must have the core2duo version. my bad.
I have the first release of this laptop and use it for my day to day work and gaming. The Core2Duo works great and I have a 23" monitor hooked up via the display port. Keyboard is awesome to type on and the touch pad is spot on.
This is a great deal and highly recommend this laptop. The glossy screen isn't so bad either.
Would you provide some details for those who dont know what you are talking about ?
