um touchscreen i guess :) and wifi
HTC Wildfire (5 megapixel, Android) $390 or $350 locked to Telstra Prepaid
Nokia X6 (5 mpx, Symbian S60) $369 (also has free lifetime GPS navigation)
Nokia C6 (5mpx, Symbian S60) $389 (similar to the X6, but with updated interface and a slide out keyboard)
Sony Ericcson Vivaz Pro (8 megapix, Symbian S60) $419 (not really that great as a phone due to bad software, the camera is it's only redeeming quality.)
oh where can i buy these phones like for $390 the htc wildfire or the $419 vivaz? is there a store or website i could use thanks!
like besides these websites like a store somewhere in brisbane?
cause unfortunately i don't have a credit card :S
and also make sure it can use in optus 3g :) thanks!
@johnnyt1780: Wildfire is Telstra only at the moment, $349 on Telstra prepaid.
By far the best value phone listed above.
I'm hoping you've done a little bit of research and found this site already, but just in case you haven't, http://www.gsmarena.com has a very useful search tool to specify what features you want in a phone.
yeah i've looked at gsmarena but they are all too expensive :S
Check this out: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/31451 A good phone at a good price available at any vodafone store. Can be unlocked for free for you to use any SIM card in. Also available at Crazy Johns for same price.
There's also another UK website that sells mobile phones:
They ship internationally as well. With AUD dollar going strong it's also cheaper to buy high end devices from overseas.
Be aware of warranty and compatability implications with imported phones or any imported goods for that matter. Warranty shipping costs can turn your bargain very bitter very fast.
The best way to buy a high end phone is having it included with a call & data package from a telco (a contract). You are going to be making calls anyway and it usually works out far cheaper than buying outright. AFAIK most phones on contract are unlocked too.
Naturally you have to get around the credit card part?? You can pay by direct debit from your bank a/c afterwards but afaik you need to kick it off with a credit card. You might be able to do it by direct deposit..?? Call them.
Online deals for such contracts usually have added bonuses like a couple of months free etc which you do not get dealing with a store.
Is that it? No preference to whether it's touchscreen / QWERTY / classic candybar?
What do you want to use it for (other than it's camera?)
