Because the game is an amazing feat of musical scores, visuals, game design and story telling. It's well worth 100 dollars, being Atlus you're not going to see it go on sale for around 1-2 years. Check in store for a physical steelbook copy. they are around $80
No shops sell it for 80. Not even JB, it's not on their online store.
Just Oz gameshop, but that's UK. Not sure I want to risk DLC's not working.
At launch its cheaper then they jack the prices up. Got the steelbox from JB on day 1 for $79.
@ruddiger7: I got the steelbook from Target for the same price on day 1. And then once Target sold out of the steelbooks, they just stopped stocking the game altogether.
DLC/game disc will work among all the versions in the PAL region
yeah i pre-ordered the standard edition from amazon because it came with sweet persona 5 controller skin also got 20% off with amazon prime free 30 day trial they give discount on new releases think after converting it from USD to AUD was $72

JRPG is minority in the western market, the company won't provide too much supply hence the game's price will hold
With the exception of FFXV which was discounted after few months released. Which I don't call a JRPG at all…
if a game is shittier than shit then its price will go downfall superfast regardless of its genre
The truth is I have not touched FFXV at all after playing P5, I think I'm not the only one

That's how you know it's a game definitely worth getting! I bought it for $79 on day one and am sorta proud to see it's the one of the few titles to reject the sales sticker in EB Games.
To my surprise, the steelbook edition when it was first released @ JB Hifi for $79 was actually a bargain.
If the game held up its price, that means its a quality release. Plus it was out of stock for a while. You probably need to wait longer.
The game is definitely a quality release. I played it 10hrs a day for 10 days. I even got all my uni work done just so I could play this game without stress. It was my favourite game of 2017 and should be GOTY. It won't be, because it's audience is kinda niche.
Zelda will be GOTY for sure. I bought the steelbook from Target for $79 when it came out but haven't played it yet

I believe the Maid and Butler set is the only one that wasn't free already. Already got the rest of these over a month ago for nothing.
