Worse, based on a Gizchina article they haven't been paying their ad agency and supposedly haven't been supplying parts to third-party service centres. So the problems aren't just abroad but in their home region too.

these are grey imports in the US
so now you need a freight forward to 'grey import' them to AU which means you effectively have no warranty anyway when in fact the original warranty had already been voided…

Sorry, but if you add the 'Grey' color model to the cart, they can be shipped directly to Aus, fulfilled by Amazon. The gold one will require a forwarder. That bit of info was in description. The warranty is US only as mentioned on amazon though going by previous experience Amazon does well to respond to warranty issues.

These phones offer great hardware and all. Buttt the software side I find is usually lacking a bit, if they had LineageOS or something similar they'd be great.
Except that LineageOS is terrible.
