Cheaper to get off ebayand use $20 off $100 @ eBay code which makes it around $107 with 3 year warranty and new in box.

    • I got it off 20%off ebay sales. It's so much better than Telstra technicolor one.

Also if you are expecting to get NBN, you would need a VDSL modem as opposed to ADSL.

I have the D7 and would instead recommend getting the VR600 which works with Fiber to the Node. - $124 after Coupon.

    • awesome hope people read your comments that is the better deal

  • We don't have enough 'Open Box Sale — TP-Link Archer D7 AC1750 ADSL2+ Modem Router (OB-TL-ARCHERD7)' in stock to fulfill your order: we have 3 in stock. Please change the qty on order in your shopping cart and click update. Then try to checkout again.

  • Is it compatible with NBN HFC?

    Thanks.

    • Any Router with an Ethernet WAN port supports NBN HFC, including the Archer D7 Modem/Router.
However, it may be cheaper to buy a Router if you don't currently need an ADSL Modem.

  • Currently they have 10% off opened box sale.

  • Anyone recommend a better cheap router? (non-modem router).

I currently have a C5 and the 5ghz connects but internet is not available.

Also WDS bridging doesn't work properly.

    • Better and cheap is a hard one… Most routers that cost less than the C5 will not be much better. C5 costs around a hundred ($120 according to SI) so I guess the next 'better' choice is ASUS RT-AC68U, will set you back $200 but you get back $20 cashback from ASUS.

  • I just really need it for a WDS or wireless bridge setup, I need to get access to ethernet ports for fetch TV, etc. My R7000 does a really good job, the c5 would be fine except it's not working properly I think?

    • could try flashing a different firmware like OpenWRT and see if it does a better job.

  • Thanks OP. Perfect timing for my folks. Theirs is becoming unstable now.
