240

USA TODAY named Calculator Plus among its "25 Essential Apps", calling it the "handy calculator app that's garnered great user ratings"

I'm Calculator Plus - the perfect calculator for Android. I'm easy to use and beautifully designed to do things better than your phone or handheld calculator ever did.

I'm big, easy to read, and I love saving you time and effort. I remember everything you calculate, and let you review it anytime, making me perfect for shopping, doing homework, balancing checkbooks, or even helping with taxes. And if you need to quit and go do something else, I'll have it all waiting for you when you come back. You'll never need to type the same calculation twice again.

I have had the free version of this app (which contains ads) for a number of years and use it regularly. It is simple and easy to use but the ads sometimes can be a bit annoying. Might be a good time for me to buy this paid version now. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a non-scientific calculator.

Can someone comment on how this differs from the many free calculator apps out there? Some free ones are rates quite highly.

When comparing it to the stock android 5.1 calculator (only other one I have used), it is very simple and easy to use and far, far better than that one. It is just like using an electronic calculator. Maybe you could try the free version first and see if you like it.

      This one costs 20c

I've happily used this one for years. I like the themes available - easily visible when you're out and about (I use the one of the left)

I don't mind spending 20c (I have $17 sitting in credit) but still prefer the free one I have now.

Kind of amazing anyone could be charging over $2 for a calculator app in the first place. Who'd pay that much?

      • Especially when you can buy a physical calculator for that much

        • Yeah true.

I guess those who need a scientific calculator and are much smarter than myself can justify it. It's gotta a tough living making calculator apps :)

        • @Click_It: even a scientific calculator can be had for $4, but yes I have found that it's very rare that I'm not in front of a computer so even they aren't required.

With the exception of History, my mobile's built-in calculator has more functions than this.

deals like this is perfect for the Google Reward credits.

    • True, I tend to buy most cheapies if I have a use for them (with my Google Rewards credit) but in this case I prefer my free calc app over this one so am not bothering.

  • Anyone else having issues downloading?
    Nevermind couldnt download using wifi

  • I like it's style

  • "Essential"? "Perfect"? "Advanced math functions"? Lol

It's a basic calculator. Nice enough but nothing special whatsoever.

Anybody that has lived their life not needing a calculator worth more than $10 will be happy with it. Anyone that needs true advanced maths, forget it.

  • My current favourite calculator is the All-In-One Calculator Free. It does all kind of conversion as well as algebra etc..

Previous favourite that I have been using for a few years is Calcu Stylish Calculator Free. It's beautiful, well designed, history, and gesture action.

    • Both contain ads

      • Here's a free one without ads, with only one permission (control vibration). Has history, has some scientific functions, has a page of physical constants:

Only quirk is that it doesn't have a memory in the standard way, however you can insert the answers from previous calculations in the history list.

  • For a more full-featured calculator, can highly recommend this for free. No ads and never run into any problems.

  • I just want one that repeats the calculation when you press the equals sign. For example: 5 x 1.1 = 5.5 = 6.05 = 6.655, etc. Surprised the basic android calculator doesn't do that. Every other calculator does.

      This one does that
