    • I think that was something the manufacturer's lawyers wanted them to put in just in case, because it'd be too expensive for manufacturers to test their products with all the different pacemaker brands out there.

I'm guessing the main target market for scales like these probably won't be using pacemakers, so it's not worth the manufacturer's time and money to do large-scale testing.

A small study back in 2012 found no evidence of interference.

      • Only 20 patients were tested on. It's just the idea of sending small (''safe'') electric current through the body makes me think twice about using this but then again I'm very health conscious.

If it actually did cause negative effects, I think we would have all heard about it. There are quite a few people on pacemakerclub.com, a forum for pacemaker users, who have used bioelectrical impedance devices with no problem.

If the idea of sending a small electric current through the body makes you worried, static electricity must terrify you. :)

I upgraded from the older WS-30 model to this one. Glad to report the weight measurement was within 0.0 - 0.1kg of each other.

  • Cheers op. Will go well with my activite watch.

  • Bought one. Even if they aren't quite as accurate as DEXA/bodpod/calipers for testing BF%, it still gives you a reading you can monitor and work to improve. Would be handy to have stats to go alongside progress photos when bulking/cutting.

  • Anyone received their delivery yet?I bought on the 10th and had it sent to one of their stores for click n collect but have yet to hear anything :(

    • Received mine today. Yet to try it.

    • Mine arrived yesterday. Just took first measurements not long ago and it seems pretty good. Easy setup.

Same here. I talked to support and they said they are out of stock and it is on backorder now (of course they kept that to themselves until I actively asked them what is happening).

I suspect after two weeks they will tell me they can't get it anymore and then another two weeks for the refund. I should really stop ordering from Harvey Norman - always problems.

      • I have a feeling that might be the case - still waiting on mine!

  • Mine arrived last week, Received the Nokia branded version, was surprised they didn't cancel tbh . .

    • Is anything different apart from the branding?
