  • Mine shows Regular shipping $11.08 :( I am in Melbourne

    • $4 shipping to melbourne here, just chose it before check out, extra few days though

      • I tried Brunswick(3056) and Cheltenham(3192), both need $11.08 for postage.

        • Melbourne CBD is only $4

    • Tried again this moring. The postage is down to $4 for me. Hooray!

  • Not a bad price…just wish they included the black Wii remotes as well!

  • Not bad but half of the saving is chewed up in delivery fees if you live outside of Sydney.

  • The deliver estimate says $0.00 for Brisbane - free shipping to Brisbane?

    • Wont deliver to me in Brisbane. PS. My postcode is correct.

We're sorry we are unable to deliver the items to your address. You can choose a new delivery address.
      • Got the same response for 3 different postcodes here in Perth (6016, 6020 & 6030). Finally tired my work address which is in Perth CBD (6000) and it worked. I assume that they only ship to CBD in Perth which is pretty poor.

  • I ordered this yesterday. I paid $4 shipping (Sydney).

I purely got it for the remote. Normally they are $60 - $70 on their own. The game is just a bonus :)

      • Wow why's that so cheap?!

      • +1

        Hong Kong? No thanks!

I have had enough problems with a "genuine" PS3 controller from there!

        • I just ordered 2 Genuine Wii remote + 2 Genuine MotionPlus + 2 x After market Nunchuk from them. It will be 2 weeks before they arrive.

        • Absolutely agree. Those dodgy online companies from Hongkong or China are really untrustable. I had bad experience with them as well. Would never deal with those companies any more.

          • @ITveteran: i doubt those are actually genuine, they don't come with batteries, a wiijacket or a wrist strap, all of which a genuine wii remote does.

  • Delivery came up as 11 bucks for me too. Melbourne.

  • Thanks for the post, I'm kind of interested in getting one, but I'm finding it quite difficult to differentiate the genuine from third party ones. I've looked on eBay and they look really similar. I'm not doubting the one in this post though.

Does anyone know what the standard price of a genuine Wii remote is? From posts here, it seems as if they are about $60+
Does anyone have any experience with a third party wii remote and have any comments on how well it works? If they work ok, I might consider just getting one anyway

    • I have a fake wiimote, it's more sensitive, slightly laggier response time, rumble is a tad too strong and internal speaker sounds like a dying washing machine.

Other than that though, it's decent for a backup wiimote, works alright for the games I play and for $20, there's little to invest for what it does.

    • I called up the local Big W near me and was assured by the staff member in the Entertainment section that it was a genuine Nintendo remote. I ordered it after checking this

    • Yep, I was been stung by a fake wiimote about 3 years ago. As soon as I held it I suspected that it didn't feel/look right and after some googling I realised I was right. Absolutely horrible. Made of cheap plastic with rough edges. The IR is too sensitive so if you don't sit far back enough, the cursor goes all over the place. Rumble is noisy and the speaker is REALLY loud and sounds terrible. Even when no sound is coming out there's this constant static ringing coming out. Changing the speaker volume doesn't do anything either. If you know a wiimote you're looking at is not genuine, then avoid it, even if it's cheap. It's just a waste of money. All those wiimotes, nunchuks and classic controllers you see on ebay from Hong Kong/China are fake and they all seem to come in some very convincing Japanese packaging. So I'd avoid buying any Wii accessories with Japanese packaging unless you're in Japan. Here's an example of a fake with Japanese packaging

Some people commenting naively believe they're the real deal..

I can't say whether these ones

      http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.30499

are genuine or not but I'd rather take the chance and buy this then the ones on ebay.

  • I remember getting the same deal last year at the same price 4 days before christmas

  • What do you guys think of this deal? Is it genuine Wiimote?
    http://shoppadee.com/store/product.php?productid=39507&cat=8…

    • funny they took the pic from dealxtreme - why buy from shoppadee when it is cheaper in dealextreme?

  • Thanks I bought one from bigw - I have been warned to buy wii remote locally as the quality differ

  • I've bought the Dealextreme and EBAY fake Wii motes before.

They look good, but work like crap. Most break within 3 months.

    I'll stick to genuine…
