JB Hi-Fi - PlayStation Plus 12 Month Membership $34.27

3300

JB Hi-Fi

PlayStation Plus: 12 Month Membership (Digital Download)

Offer available from June 9th

EDIT 1 (7:55am): It appears that you are no longer able to add the item to your cart.

EDIT 2 (8:10am): The page has been taken down and the link no longer working

EDIT 3 (3:30pm): JB Hi-Fi have replied via email to all purchasers of the discounted memberships. The transactions will be cancelled but as a good will gesture, they are offering a gift card valued at $14.70. Please note that if you have placed multiple orders you will only be entitled to the one gift card valued at $14.70.

This is a good outcome for those of us who did buy early this morning. Thanks to JB Hi-Fi for the gesture of a gift card. Well done guys… and please, go easy on whoever made the mistake. They've made everyone's long weekend just that little bit better. Cheers!

EDIT 4 (one week later): By now most who got in on this deal will have received not only one gift card from JB Hi-Fi but two gift cards. This was an added "bonus" but it meant you had to act fast. It allowed you to get a yearly membership to Playstation Plus for only $19.57!!! Two days later and JB Hi-Fi were cancelling these second cards. Several people have now said their second cards are no longer working. Anyway, it was a fun ride. Hope it worked out well for you.

  • Yep, noticed this as well and posted the link in other deals related to the PlayStation Sale. I'm not sure why it's so cheap, but not complaining. Hope the code comes through soon!

  • -2

Thank you, your order has been received.

It will now go through a verification process and once it has been approved you will receive a follow up email with payment confirmation included.
If you have placed a Click & Collect order you will need to wait for a Ready for Collection email before you can proceed to the store for collection.

    Expect orders to be cancelled.

  • I bought one at that price, let's see if we get the codes though

  • Cheap! But I have no use for it as I don't have a ps4

  • +6

    I suspect it's a pricing error - they were going for a 30% reduction off RRP ($69.95 * 70% = $48.95) but accidentally applied the discount a second time ($48.95 * 70% = $34.27).

Nice find OP, let's see if those overnight orders get automatically fulfilled.

  • +1

I got the order confirmation email…

    Order ID: JB18112022XXXXXX
    Order Date: 9 Jun 2017

    Order Total: $34.27
    Amount Paid: $34.27
    $20.00 by Gift Card
    $14.27 by Credit Card

    But it does say below…

One or more of the items in your order are for digital delivery. For each digital delivery item, you will receive a separate email containing instructions within 4 - 8 hours of placing your order.
If you have not received this email within the above timeframe, please check your Spam/Junk folder

So, never know, they might (hopefully) still send the code!

  • Looks like they've applied a 30% discount twice.

Bought a code, hopefully they honour it.

  • +1

If they won't receive overwhelmingly more orders I guess they will honor them even if it is a price error.

BTW if this post get 100+ upvotes…

    • +10

Quick, let's neg this to oblivion!

      • I get it, but can I get an upvote now? ;)

        • +1

I gave my updoot as soon as JB gave indication that they'd honour the deal :)

  • +1

    Nice find OP, fingers crossed.

  • +10

Looks like the work experience kid stuffed up again….

  • +3

    Bought two!

  • +2

Bought one. Hoping it doesn't get cancelled.

Comparing Xbox's Games with Gold and PS Instant Game selections, I think XB has the better line up over the past few months. Just saying.

From past deals i got the BF1 season pass from this which was $25 from $70 so good chance we will get this i think.

    • Look at your confirmation email for that, it does not say what the order for these says, it doesn't have this new part:

It will now go through a verification process and once it has been approved you will receive a follow up email with payment confirmation included.

For once, browsing OzBargain at 2 in the morning has paid off.

  • When is the last date to redeem it after purchasing it?

    found the answer

It expires 12 months from date of purchase. Full terms apply, see sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/legal

Just bought one, got the confirmation email, hopefully I get the code. I will either apply that on my aussie account after my canadian one expires or sell it to my friend.

    • So you could possibly squeeze 2 years out if it if you bought two?

      • yes, you can stack upto 4 years in your psn account but both card will expire within 1 year.

        • +1

Ok, so not like Kogan, where it cancels out the previous credit.

        • @Steptoe: So I activate first card and towards end of expiry, I activate second card? Or can I activate both cards to get two years? I never had a PSN before sorry

        • +2

@limucat: both can be activated one after another, no need to wait till expiry of 1.

        • +2

          @yummycoot:
Good because I'd either loose it, forget to use it, or both.

        • @yummycoot: ooh thank you so as you said up to 4 years… why do I read in the following comments that people buy 2 and not 4?

        • +1

@limucat: first of all the 4 years I mentioned is not a limit but rather most people seem to do 2 or 4. Then there are people like this who can stack upto 21 years. People bought 2 because if you think about the price, its half price, so they are spending the usual amount but getting 1 year extra.

        • @yummycoot: thanks got it now!

  • -2

    Got one!

If this is true will be DOUBLE SCORE!

that's a different deal and cannot be combined I am pretty sure. That's a product on its own, so you have to buy it from PS Store.

  • anyone received the actual codes yet? also these should work on the UK store as well, no…since UK codes work on AU store?

    • not yet. no,only work in Aussie store.

      • is that 100% confirmed? i have used UK codes on my AU account and they always work. never tried the other way around…

FYI US codes work on Canadian store and vice versa.

        • were those UK codes PS Plus codes?

Not all US Codes work on Canadian Stores in my experience and some specifically states it.

I am running a 1 year ps plus on Canadian PSN.

        • +1

          @yummycoot:

my primary PSN is Canadian as well (10 years) :P

I buy Us psn+ codes from amazon/bestbuy/cdkeys/etc and they always work.

Only ones that don't work are wallet funding codes.

        • @deathjr: good luck.

        • +1

          @deathjr:
          Me US store…
Good price but I'd be double booking and miss out on all my previous freebies if I use my AU account.

        • @Zeral: you have already got the PS Plus code?

  • +1

Unfortunately I tried three times paying with my PayPal account on jbhifi which has the correct balance and I received the Failed Vertification for the third time after payment was processed and even trying with an alt account. Is anyone else have issues paying with PayPal on jbhifi? I guess I will miss out on this wonderful deal which may be honored or else try to pay by card.

    • +1

i paid with Paypal and it worked just fine. Maybe your card in Paypal has expired?

      • +1

I have $38 in PayPal balance. Also experiencing gift card system error when trying to enter pay and redeem code on jbhifi checkout system.

        • perhaps change browser or use credit/debit card?

        • +1

          @yummycoot:
My first attempt was 1:44am - I tried mobile browser and desktop browser on PC. Thanks I will try to find a solution.

    • +2

I paid with paypal just fine.

  • +1

    paypal worked for me.
sites just dying in general, getting slammed now.

  • +2

Cheers OP. Fingers crossed it comes through.

    • +1

  • +1

    • +1

      • Loving playing my Dreamcast daily ;)

  • +1

    Fingers crossed.

  • +2

Thank you very much OP. Here's hoping that the transactions will go through for everyone.

    • +1

Cheers. Hope it worked out for you too.

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

    Anyone received their codes yet??

  • +2

    Fingers crossed!!!

    Gotta be in to win

With the volume of comments here I feel this will be a mass cancel by JB

  • Thanks OP. Just bought one. Just a question, the games that we get every month, can we save them to play even after that month or is it just for that month only?

Also, if I dont have any friends on PSN network, is there an open network through which I can join and play with other online gamers as in open network. Sorry I am brand new to this.

I bought this because I need more reasons to open my PS4 and play it. Haven't used much since I bought it.

    • +1

play games you enjoy and you will make friends on there.

the games each month are yours forever aslong as you have an active psplus subscription.

    • +3

You keep them as long as you have a PS Plus account. I believe if your account lapses and you then rejoin later you can use them againl

    • +3

The free PS+ games are accessible as long as you have a PS+ subscription. No PS+ = Game gets locked and you can't access it.

But if you leave PS+ and come back to it later on you can play any of the free monthly PS+ games you add to your library.

Not sure if any games have cross platform multiplayer. Maybe between PC and PS4 but definitely not between consoles.

      • Rocket League has cross platforming ability.

      • Need PS plus to authenticate game ownership ….hence you won't let lapse once you have 20 games ……

  • +1

Did anyone actually get the code though?

    • the email says 4-8 hours after order.

      • It was instant last time I bought.

        • probably because it was before 5pm, not from 2am in the morning.

  • +2

Cheers OP Bought 2. Now fingers crossed.

  • Thanks!

  • +1

The codes won't start sending till around 9 in the morning… when the techies wake up and press the button.

  • +1

    Bought one shanks
Just bought a year worth before all these deals :(

  • I wasn't gonna renew ps+ but for this price! Yay!!
    Thx!

  • +1

We need more work experience kids to take care of IT departments of multi-million dollar companies!!!

    • +1

you mean strictly the IT sales department :P

    • +1

they scheduled it and did not even bother to check during the implementation. they will go to work today and see the mess they have caused lol.

  • Great price, bought 2.

I was thinking to buy it today as it's 30%off but now even cheaper at JB HIFI for whatever reason.

  • +1

    Bought 2, thanks OP

  • +4

God dammit - I don't even own a PS4 and I bought it. Either use it when I get one, or sell it to a mate

  • +1

hmmm i paid with paypal but not getting any confirmation from paypal and it says Amount Paid: $0.00 in my "jb hifi order received" email

  • +1

no email from Paypal but my bank account has been debited. so fingers crossed :D

    • same, paypal has not send me an email it. But i think that's due to Jb HIFI website still saying its pending, i got the email anyway, just no code.

  • Bought one then went back to get another and now I'm getting an access denied message! Looks like they have taken it down.

    • I bought one and and went back 30 seconds later and it worked again. That was only 5 minutes ago.

      • So the codes stack if applied to an account after each other?
Or does one wait a year and then apply?

        • Yeah you can stack up to 3 years worth

    • I can still add it to my cart and the price is $34.27

    • Maybe you're bringing to the wrong place?

  • Got two just now, cheers.

  • Do you get to keep the free games once the membership expires?

    • Yes, but you can't play them. Need an active sub. So, when you re-sub, you can play them again.

  • Just got one. Now, the wait begins, c'mon JB.

  • Got one, thanks OP. Even though I have a Canadian account I figure there's a way to make this work at that price

    • It's quite easy to make it work, create an Australian PSN account.
