We got two major players in pet insurance in Australia: PetPlan and PetSure (medibank, rspca, Woolworths etc), Check with your vet for recommendation. Also check this video from The Checkout:

A quote through this gave me $31 per month (with discount) for a $12000 benefit limit compared to the above petinsurance.com.au costing $41.24 per month with $10,000 benefit limit.
we've got BowWow for our dog and must say we are very happy with the claim amount and process. The vet submitted the claim directly to them and a cheque arrived a fortnight later. YMMW.
