good price, is that GST refundable? thx
Nope. Grey import stock
My take on these grey imports are that if you're gonna bite the bullet and get one, especially if its a nonstandard model like the dual-sim, may as well go the up-spec one with 6GB ram and whatever the other improvements are on it, I can't remember. I think it was Amazon Italy deal. Every smartphone I've had in the last 5 years seems to give up the ghost as it's running out of RAM. AFAI can tell, extra RAM might be worth it.
I don't know what you do on your 4GB RAM-equipped phones that causes them to "give up the ghost" when you're low on memory. Perhaps you need to check what background apps you have running. Not saying 4GB is plenty in 2017 but there are very rare situations where a 2017 flagship would run out of RAM (and possibly die in the process).
Perhaps I was unclear- I have not had 4gb ram phones for the last 5 years. My last phone was 2gb, not sure how low the one before it was. I'm not running out of the 4gb on this galaxy s8 yet but, like the point of my post, I wish I had more ram because as I said I think ram ends up being not enough so the extra 2gb would be good.
I see what you mean. Ain't nothing wrong with future-proofing.
Can someone please explain to me what are the pitfalls of buying a grey import smartphone?
I've previously bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 grey import and the only issue that I found with it was that the Foxtel Go app would not work.
Already in the low $800's nice
