    • Bought the 2300W some time ago. It does the job, the title says 2300W but label on blender case says 1500W. If you got one, check the label.

  • Have a similar blender, works well, will wake the neighbors.

My very old one can do the same :p

Mytopia is basically a store full of crappy no-brand Chinese imports (with their own fancy branding and promotions created for the site), so I wouldn't be too sure of the value of this thing.

I bought an air conditioner from there about six months ago. Works well, but I wouldn't trust it to work next summer.

how much is a spare jug? thanks

    • Great question. I have several blender-motors at home. The jugs tend not to last being dropped on the floor too many times! Especially the latest one which was glass.

    • how much is a spare jug? thanks

You can't get a spare jug, AGR generally don't have any spare parts.

  • This will be cheap rubbish that will operate poorly and end up as landfill.

Be warned that Mytopia is another trading name for AGR Machinery and Edisons. Any good reviews are generally false.

Their website is full of phony reviews or ones left when the product arrived. This is one review that sums it up - http://www.productreview.com.au/p/baumr-ag-bcx720.html

    Review from Whirlpool

"I'm sorry to say you have bought a pile of junk. Bought one of these off that mob and it was the biggest pile of rubbish, the plastics broke the motor and shafts would not lock into place and the pull stater broke on its second start and they refused to sent me a replacement even after I sent a picture of the broken unit, edisons are well known to sell junk and there support is not much better, good luck."

"It's worse. Alias 'agrmachinery' and 'mytopiastore'. They are scum and protected by the fleaBay rating system.
The Search tab on the left will find real experiences… keeping it local.. then there's google."

Edison's even posted a fake review in the thread…

    https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2503724

And of course the master AGR machinery thread with hundreds of negative experiences that are all genuine.

and then read whirlpool and ozbargain, eg: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/286720

    • This blender sold almost 2500 and all reviews seem good to me.

This blender sold almost 2500 and all reviews seem good to me.

And what reviews are those? The ones left immediately after it arrived? The ones written by AGR/Edisons?

Sure one or two OzBargainers may have had luck with these but statistically that is to be expected.

McDonalds sold 2500 Big Macs this afternoon, does this mean it's quality food?

You are not talking about this Blender.

        • @superforever:

You are not talking about this Blender.

I'm sorry, I didn't realise that AGR had a few stellar products.

Do the maths for yourself, take into account ebay and paypal fees, freight and so forth and these so called "commercial" blenders are worth nothing.

All their products are the same, the cheapest rubbish out of China with over stated performance and warranties that are near impossible to claim from.

Tese knock off vitamix are not as good, but they are whole load cheaper. My vitamix gets used every day and it still going strong a decade + later. Doubt these will be going anywhere near that long.

  • I've got one. It's the best blender you can get for under $100. If you want one with local support and an actual warranty get a Froothie blender or Vitamix. If you just want a cheap blender to make a few good smoothies a week get this one.
