Does anyone know when tents go on sale?

Hi All,

I'm after a: Coleman instant up 6 with a full fly - not the gold series. I have read online on various forums that people have managed to buy these brand new for sub $200 (sometimes even close to $100) - currently $270 at tent world on eBay. I'm just wondering if there is a specific time of the year when companies/suppliers try to off load these in droves in anticipation for the new models? Or if you could post up your deal or know where to get these at a crash hot price, that would be appreciated. I don't need one now and probably won't until Christmas this year, but would definitely buy if a deal popped up, for later use.

    I'd imagine that winter, EOFY sale would probably be your best bet. People would be more inclined to buy these towards summer and Christmas like you suggested. eBay 20% off sales might be a good chance if you're buying there otherwise bricks and mortar stores should start discounting in the next week or so.

    There was an aldi one being did a while back maybe try find one of those.. it was a really cheap one too but large.

      Aldi did have the Coleman instant-up 6p tent, but it didn't come with a fly.
      edit: looks like they do now! It was $179 the last time.

        I always thought the Aldi one was their own brand (I did a search on here first). Not specifically a Coleman? Either way, I missed the deal. Still would've bought it.

    Usually about a week after you buy one. I'd have a guess and say just after Easter. Summer is camping season. Often get 'sales' before holiday weekends, but they are more like click bait sales, not discounts on what you really want to buy. Winter is when camping gear sales slow down.
