Anyone know where I can source a reliable engine crane and stand?
Has anyone used an ebay spec one previously?
Cheers

Damn. What Car you got? Or shall I say, Car(s)?
OT: I agree with Forskin — I don't care one anyone says; Supercheap Auto has very high quality car products, including Engine Stands, etc. Never has one SCA product let me down. OP wait for a SuperCheap Auto sale, and get one from there.
I have a couple, one is a boring VT Calais International super6 that I use as a daily, and the other is my pride and joy VX SS Commodore. It has a little camshaft, air intake, exhaust etc all the usual stuff. Currently in the process of doing a turbo build for my VX which is why I bought a second engine to rebuild. Forged rods & pistons, using stock crankshaft. Will have about 8.5:1 compression ratio.(stock crankshaft good to approx 800fwhp). Should see a heap of power when it's done.
Here's a video of the vx now if you're interested, just got re-tuned a few days ago.
Back on topic yes the SCA engine stands are bloody fantastic. No dramas when assembling it either. Everything lined up.
Cheers boys,
Engine stands 30% off next week at SCA for the 5xx kg model so might look into that.
Crane was on special last month but just missed out ;(
Wanted to spend under 250$ preferably

There you go. 25% off Store-wide.
I bought myself a 450kg engine stand from SCA. Does the job and easily wheels around a fully dressed LS1 engine
