Laser 2200mAh Powerbanks $3.98 (Green) / $4.48 (Pink) / $2.20 (8+ Pink) + Shipping @Laser

60

Laser has reduced the prices on their pink and green 2200mAh powerbanks. I don't know how many they have in stock, but the availability appears to be better than the $5 1200mAh powerbanks at Harvey Norman. The pink model at $2.20 for 8 or more is the best local price I can find for a powerbank with this capacity.

* Green powerbank $3.98ea
* Pink powerbank $4.48ea / $2.20ea for 8+

Shipping for a single unit is steep. at $13.43 to Melbourne 3000/Perth 6000 and $11.25 to Sydney 2000. If ordering in bulk the cost per unit becomes more reasonable. Shipping 8 units to 3000 is $18.72. If you buy 8 pink ones, it works out at $4.54 including shipping.

I placed an order for 26 of them.

    I placed an order for 26 of them.

    26?

    Why not 31? O_o;

    • I only needed 24 of them. I though a couple of spares could be handy. 31 would've been a waste.

      • I'm guessing you don't use them on Sundays…

    I'm not sure of the number of people needing a bulk order of such small-capacity 1-amp power banks, but if you want a product that takes care of all your multi-device charging needs (Quick Charge as well as USB type-C support) you'd be better off buying a Xiaomi Powerbank 2 from this deal.

    these cheap powerbanks can be a bit iffy because they often cheap out on the Battery management IC which protects the batteries from over-discharging (you can wave good-bye to your batteries if this happens) and also the low voltage protection threshold sometimes can be a tad too high, which causes the power bank to switch off prematurely even though the cell still holds some juice.

    so even if you want to scavenge these 'banks for their 18650 battery enclosure, they can sometimes still be fairly dodgy and not very good for DIY purposes.

    In any case you get what you pay for with power banks.

    • You forgot to mention the risk of blowing up and causing fire….
