In fairness, it is coming back thanks to strong pricing and features like backwards compatibility.

There is no coming back from where it is now lol .even ms have given up

        • +1

How exactly have they "given up"?

        • -3

@GossipGoat: How have they not lol. Have you seen the list of exclusives on PS that achieve avg 9-10/10 reviews?

I bought a Ps4 pro on the weekend to replace my XB1 as I was sick of hearing of these great games that weren't available on the PS. I have bought Horizon Zero Dawn (which is alone worth the PS purchase), pre-ordered days gone, the last of us etc. But it's not even that, after going from the wonky UI of the Xb1, it's so refreshing to use the PS. And the little touches like the light bar and speaker that ACTUALLY makes an impact on being immersed in a game. That and PS4 would have had almost a whole year with 4k gaming before scorpio.

Instead of investing in Scorpio, ms should have invested in exclusives. According to sales of xmas last year, 2 PS4's were sold for every 1 xbox, and lets not get into game sales lol.

Also the fact that going forward most/all games will be available on PC to, why the hell would you buy an xbox anymore….

The only thing going for xbox is being the cheapest blueray 4k player, but you still have to put up with the wonky ui.

Don't forget that Bungie has made deals with Sony, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were something extra for PS users….

No no it's not coming back…backwards compatibility has had very little uplift. They can only ride off the backwards compatibility for so long because (as stated already) Sony has the far superior catalog anyways. When Dungeon Crawl (I own DC) does a big new game release deal we'll sell the Xbox version on a 1 to 5 ratio. ie - 100 copies for PS4 and 20 for XB1. Sony is just smashing MS in the market now.

      Uh…what are you talking about?

So because it's not selling at record breaking pace it's "dying in the arse"?

      Sure…ok

      • -1

Users jumping ship to PS4 would be the definition of losing user base. Without a user base it would be dying. So yes.

        • What does that have to do with Halo Wars 2 being on special?

Also, again, it's selling at about the same rate as the 360 at it's point in life. So technically, it hasn't lost anything.

        • @Shpeshal Ed: how do you know? Ms don't give out sales figures. Also xbone is terminating early for Scorpio.

        • @OnlinePred: So PS4 terminated early for PS4 Pro?

Scorpio is an Xbox One dude. Maybe stop posting given you don't appear to know what's going on .

i asked for a trade in quote JB two weeks ago and they were giving $39.
I previously sold a copy a about month before that for the same price.

    • Despite it being fully compatible with Australian consoles, I'm not sure though if they would accept this given it's an imported copy? Has anybody recently attempted to trade one in?

  • +1

Great deal! great game but i like it so much more on PC

    • Just confirming is this not the play anywhere edition?

      • Only digital copies which specifically state 'Xbox Play Anywhere' can be played on Xbox & PC

  • Heh

  • no paypal??

    • Nope. Only downside to Base. They're pretty quick though with postage. You can view it as a positive actually as l find my CC has a better exchange rate then Paypal usually.

  • A little debate in the comment section is alright, but console wars/trolling in the headline description of deals etc might be a bit overboard and could risk a terms issue? Last thing we want is deals removed willy nilly over such tomfoolery. It may distract from the deal, and everybody shouting that the deal: "isn't a deal".
People have had a laugh at the expense of the ps4 catalogue and the weak PR fodder exclusive lineup, but i dont think anyone has put jabs in the description. If so, i cant say people would necessarily approve.

I mean, not that the games industry needs to be respected, it really doesn't and perhaps shouldnt as a form of minor escapism and entertainment designed for youth / kids. As a deal website, the owners might feel its unprofessional and gamers could be seen as "petty". This might be why average joe game fans don't really respect the self identifying small internet "gamer" demographic or the games industry. Not sure whats selling but i guess more power to the industry. With all the midgen updates, vr and half systems to pump up sales shipments for brand PR, you'd hope someone would sell something.

Not really sure what system is selling or whatnot but for a headline, yeah, that might be seen as over the top.

    • Yeah, l only meant that very few people play RTS games, and if they do, it's certainly not on a console.

      • +1

Ahhh i see. Yeah its a genre we dont see much of.

  • I'm seeing 19 GBP in my basket and this doesn't change even when I get to final stage of checkout. Is there a trick to get VAT removed?

    Thanks
