Great headlamp for the price, I have 2 from previous sales.

    • Can you go straight to red without switching on the main LED?

      Thanks!

You enable the red light by pressing a specific button/combination, it can be turned on without the main white light.
(But I forget the combination and my instruction book is in Japanese).

Sweet didn't even realize I had a $10 voucher. I now have a headlamp that cost me $4.99

  • Damn, I spent my $10 on firewood.

    Good guy BCF at least!

  • No stock at my 3 closest stores :(

Happy to grab one for you if you are really keen. I can bring it to the city

      • Thanks, I will be trying tomorrow. Port Adel, Gepps Cross and Richmond out of stock. Lucky I travel around for work, first job tomorrow is at Unley and then off to Morphett Vale so that should take me past at least 1 store that has stock.

Just picked up 2 from Marion. Still 2 more left.

  • entertainment book has $50 and $100 BCF egift card for 10% off.

    • can the gift cards be stacked? If i purchased $100 + $50, am I able to use both to purchase products that cost $165?

      Thanks

      • not too sure mate. I have never shopped bcf online before. It says in the payment options:

"Pay for all or part of your purchase using your Gift Card. If there is a balance remaining, please select an additional payment method"

So I assume you can at least combine CC and gift card payment.

Grabbed one on the way home yesterday, scanned at full price, told the girl it's $14.99 on their site. She said "You sure? That's a pretty huge discount, these are a great unit… oh wow, I can't believe that price!" Told her I'd be back for more this weekend and she said I'd have to tell the person at the counter about the online price because the system doesn't update with the new price… dafuq?!?!?

Anyhow, saw this folding stretcher when I was there so grabbed one for when the kids have sleepovers (sooooooooo sick of airbeds that eventually give up and go flat overnight and don't even have a puncture!) http://www.bcf.com.au/Product/Wanderer-Folding-Stretcher-Kin… - was $109, now $54.50 for club members.

    • It's an online only discount, so they won't be advertising it in store and it will scan at the normal price in store. I guess, technically, they don't have to give you this discount in store since it's an online deal, but it would be pretty pointless if they disagreed.

Ordered 2. Thanks OP. Needs some new one for my upcoming cape trip and I didn't really want to get cheap chinese ebay ones. I know these are too, but at least I can take them back if they die.

    • Actually, they're Japanese! Probably made in China though.

Yeah I realise it's a japanese company. But yes, made in China.

Picked mine up this afternoon. They seem to be very good quality for the price. Much better than the cheap chinese ebay stuff. Very bright. I suspect the lumens rating is reasonably accurate, unlike most of the ebay stuff. They also come with Panasonic batteries in the pack which is a nice bonus. You can turn the red light on directly, without having to cycle through the white lights, by holding down the power button for a second or so, which is good. The rear red light has it's own button. The main negative for me is the lack of a 3rd strap for the top of your head, which probably makes these less than perfect for kids, but it's definitely not a deal breaker for this price. So if you're not a serious hiker but still like to use a decent head lamp around the camp site, these seem like a great option without having to shell out big dollars.

Thanks again to the OP. Great deal.

Grabbed one from Myaree. The whole click and collect cupboard was full of headlamps.

    Seems pretty good.

    • All stock gone from Myaree now :(

  • How did you guys get the $10 BCF voucher?

    • +1

I got it by not buying stuff for awhile. I only got it on an account which was subscribed to their marketing emails

This headlamp is quite uncomfortable to wear straight over your head due to the heavy weight and single headband. If you wear it over your cap or beanie it's not an issue.

Everything else is great though. The LED light, functionality(flood and spot light option) and battery life is top notch.

  • My first post! I managed to buy the same headlamp for $15 with free shipping at Supercheap Auto: http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Gentos-240-Lumen-Wa… Sale ends 4/6/17

  • Bought the same one from other store previously , performance is good
