While we are busy finding the cheapest deal for our friend here I would like to ask the Ozb pros the quintessential question: Vasectomy or Tubal litigation? Knive the hubby, or wife? What is the best option? Pros and cons of each?

In my case, I thought the wife had had enough pain (with popping out some babies) and it was time for me to step up. Went to Dr Snip, 30mins later it was done. The way I describe the pain, is that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach AFTER you're hit in the balls but a few days later pain free
When I went to Dr Snip, I had an 11am appointment and he said that I was the 7th of the day!
Had mine in 1981, and have had no side-effects apart from no longer firing baby bullets.
Vasectomy is cheaper and simpler.
But I say you do stone paper scissors with wifey
Tubal litigation sounds like it needs a lawyer. It's ligation, as in ligature.

Vasectomies are cheaper, faster, and safer than female sterilization, yet only 9% of men in the U.S. get them while 27% of women get tubal ligations.
It would seem the male snip is more logical but it seems to be the one left holding the baby that makes the decision.
