  • What's the difference between the Galaxy and iOS versions? Are they cross compatible? Is it the remote controls? I like the Sand color, but it's iOS. There is a 4th one that is out of stock. Which one is that one? Description doesn't say much.

They seem cheap. What competing product of its class is this comparable to?

I guess I should also ask how comfortable these are? Does it fit large heads?

I'm pretty sure it's the controls, yeah.

    • The difference is the inline controls on the cable. They work fine on either device, but if you buy the iOS version the inline controls won't work on Android and vise versa.

      • I've got 'IOS' Momentums and an S8 - The Play/Pause works but the next/previous buttons don't. It's to do with apple using a different pole order compared with everyone else (ugh.).

There are TRRS adapters that should fix it - or if I could be bothered, I could swap the cable (I couldn't be bothered).

        Audio works fine/great obviously.

        • Do either of their controls work in Windows 10?

        • @lostn: Not on my laptop - but it may depend on the hardware?

Judging by the picture, it doesn't seem like these are wireless 1s.

    • cool story Bro!

These are a great headphone at this price. Big and comfortable on the scon. Better sound than my Bose qc35s. Not ideal for planes and travel though as not noise cancelling and pretty bulky.

    Solid price.

    Cheers OP :)

Also don't forget Cashrewards and to check if you have WINTER15 ($15 off) or WINTER10 (10% off) assigned to your account. With $15 off comes down to $108 delivered not bad. Already have the momentums but hoping these are more comfy and offer something a bit different with the extra bass as the reviews suggest :)

    • pity you can't stack codes.

      • +1

Yeah but hey $15 off is better than nothing I guess hahaha. Besides pretty sure this is the lowest they have sold for. Normally were going for around the $140 mark at their lowest.

Heard these in JB, they sound great for clubbing music :-)

  • Just received mine this arvo. Props to Wireless1 for the prompt delivery. As for the urbanites tho it's ok I guess for a bit over $100 but no where close to my momentums in terms of sound quality. All this bass talk is bs as well the momentums have noticeably better and much tighter bass than these. It is a bit comfier but that's about it for mine.

    • Had a bit of a play around with the positioning and it sounds heaps better once you make sure that the ear-cups are actually on the ears (as opposed to the ears being inside the ear-cups if you know what I'm saying). Makes a massive difference once you get the positioning right. Thought I share that with y'all :)

      • Are these not meant to be over-ears not on-ears?

        • Yeah that's what I thought as well just checked the box they came in and they are XL's hahah. Initially didn't really think much about the positioning. The ear-cups on these are circular (the momentums for instance are oval shaped) and fairly roomy and naturally the ears just fitted nicely inside them. The sound as I said was pretty disappointing. Hardly any bass but once you get the positioning right it makes a massive difference. The bass which was pretty much non-existant before is suddenly all up in yo face and ears hahaha. Bit difficult to explain but I found that putting them on from the front rather than from the top helped to flatten out the ears and get those ear-cups on properly.

  • Been listening to these for over an hour now after getting the positioning right. These are a freakin steal at $108!!!! Highly recommend them especially if you are after a new pair of cans with a bit of extra bass. Who would have thought positioning would have made this much of a difference eh lol. Unbelievable went from a 3/5 at best to at least a solid 4.5/5 at this price in my book :)

    • You seem to have changed your tune fast. Based on your previous posts, I decided not to bother with them.

How do they compare to the Momentums now?

      • Yeah lol I was about to put these away for good really did sound dull initially but as I said the ear-cup positioning makes a massive difference on these. Overall I find the momentums' sound quality slightly better it's a great all-rounder for mine and very easy to drive as well. But when it comes to bass response tho these I think are noticeably better and all in all right up there as well. Also these are a lot comfier too. I don't really plan on wearing these out much so not really an issue for me but thought I should mention that these do look somewhat bulky on the head tho. Just a tad. Momentums defo look a lot sleeker. Given the price however it's a no-brainer if you are not after a wireless set. These are an absolute steal for a bit over $100. Great sound and bass, seems very durable, looks decent and very comfy. Unless you can find the momentums (over ears that is) for well under the $150 mark these are easily the way to go. Hope that helps :)

        • So how exactly should these be position? Bass sounds OK, but not as good as my TTR which were $50 :-)

        • @congngo:

A bit difficult to explain champ but I found that sliding them on from the front rather than from the top helped to flatten out the ears and get those ear-cups on properly. Doing so while you are playing something quite bassy would probably help with the adjustment as well. I listen to trop house, mixes, rebassed and bass boosted stuff a fair bit (youtube is a good starting point if you want to try some out) and that's where these really do shine for mine compared to say the momentums.
