rodripa, as we said yesterday, the mods are in discussion with combining posts from group buy sites. In this case though, someone else posted the Ouffer Sydney deal so merging isn't possible. Until we sort this out, your vote is invalid. Being annoyed with our system isn't a reason to neg someones deal.

Agreed. The deal isn't even that good. There are so many of such group buy deals. IMHO, I feel that only the ones very worth it should be posted? OP, you post it because you think it's a bargain, or just hope to get some referral credit?
I could post ALL the group buy deals, since they are "heavily discounted". But I think I would be slammed by negs from other ozbargainers because if they are already members of those sites, they would have received the deals in their email. And I'm just flooding ozbargain with mediorce deals. Crowding out the other good deals posted by others.
I don't think referral links should be allowed. It screams 'conflict of interest' to me and is open to abuse.
Isn't that the point of this site, to alert people to bargains? Yes. Yes it is. As for the referrals, I'd expect the vast majority of people on here who are interested in this sort of deal are members of the relevant sites already so I'm not expecting to be able to retire from referrals :D
I've posted these because I appreciated people doing the same back when I wasn't aware of them. To be honest I wish people would post every one of these from every site every day as it's way easier just to check Ozbargain once than it is to check every other site.
If it's going to upset people I'll remove the referral links, but I don't see why I should have to to be honest.
I get all the deals in my email! The deals are the first things I see in the morning when I wake up to check my mail. It's okay for you to include the referral link. Just that the group buy deals posted have been mediocre.
Can you speak for the thousands of other people who check this site every day? What's mediocre to some might be fantastic to others. What about the budding alcoholics out there? They'd be salivating at this deal :)
