How does parking at the International Airport help up see Vivid ?? or is it for those who cant stand the lights so flight out of Sydney when they come on and back in when they get switched off ?? I cant see the point of parking at the International Airport over night even for free.

    • I believe that there will be vivid lighting in the airport.

At the T1 International precinct, acclaimed Australian lighting designer Iain Reed has created ‘OrganiX’ inside the P7 multi-storey car park, an installation designed to transform the striking, ‘brutalist’ architecture of the car park into an ephemeral tunnel.

Sounds boring to me. They should pay us $10

$10 to see a free exhibition - only Sydney Airport could come up with this!

        • +1

It costs $17.18 to get there by train (Central to International single trip), more for a return trip, so $10 to go by car is a bargain!

        • @eDust: Is it that much on that line? Outrageous! A comparitive bargain, perhaps, or maybe just a bit less of a rip-off. I'll pass and just enjoy the more easily accessible objets at Circular Quay.
They could have reduced the train fare for those off-peak hours and eased a bit of pollution and traffic congestion.

  • The Sydney Airport has a Curfew Act, which limits take-offs and landings at Sydney Airport between 11pm and 6am, so parking till 4 AM is useless anyway..

That's the same thing indonesians and thais say about us aussies in Bali and Phuket.

      • -8

not the same, aussies only stay in Bali or Phuket temporarily, while migrants stay here permanently legally or not, coz the gov from where they came from can't sort out their own mess, and now become aussies problem.

I didn't realise that people migrate to AU because of the Vivid Festival.

Right, and another $27.60 in station access fees to reach the city. Kachink!

  • Just got back from Fiji after 10days (6:30am flight and 9:30pm return), used this voucher and was charged only $10 was a bit sceptical it wouldn't work on the way out but it did. THANK YOU!!! $1/day for P7 parking saved me over $200.
