"Jesus said, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat." The disciples knew they didn't have enough money to buy food for all those people. There were about 5,000 men plus all the women and children!
He asked Philip where they could buy pizza. Now Jesus was just testing him. He already knew how he was going to feed them. Philip said that it would cost $19,000 to buy enough pizza for each person to have just a little. $200 was the wage for a day's work. So $19,000 would be the amount of money a man could earn by working 95 days, just over 3 months."
Can I buy some pot?
I'm not sure whether this is a joke that completely failed, or something so completely and utterly profound that it just went right over unworthy head.
Aaarrghh….was quite excited until I see the locations. Only for Brissies :(
(The OP's user name throw me out. Thought it's for Sydneysiders).
Err…OP, probably if you put the location in title?
great bargain! thanks
That will feed just me and my best mate - certainly not 6 :)
Has anyone gotten the deal already?
you buy the deal through the website, and the voucher will be usable starting wednesday
Hi, it says that "Your credit card will only be charged when the Deal has the minimum of members and has been activated". How many members did they require you to refer?
It means that at least xx people in general have elected to go for this deal, than anyone can get it, not referals. It's sort of like them bulk selling so they can guarantee they break even… maybe, or just promote themselves.
@tomsco: Thanks
Very expensive pizza to begin with but can't go wrong for $19!
Terms:
Not available on special sporting days
LOL, I wonder what constitutes a special sporting day.
AFL grand final, melbourne cup, F1 GP, UFC DRAG QUEEN CONTEST FINALS.
Has anyone dealt with OurDeal before?, their model is quite strange where there have our card details then charge us when the deal is open.
On their facebook page has: Arrivederci 1metre Pizza for 24hrs ONLY Dine at Arrivederci Pizzeria and enjoy a $19 1 metre pizza with your mates! Check it out!
So are we paying OurDeal and getting a voucher which is worth $19 and this getting voucher period is open for another 24hrs yet the coupon can be used till Valid until 31 August 2011?
hmm this model has been quite popular in the recent months. NSW and VIC is the main benefactor. So, yes you can be quite confident with them. There are heaps of other similar website doing this
I wonder if they do delivery… to Melbourne :p
Great deal! We need more deals in Brisbane like this.
Btw anyone trying the top link it has changed and should go here:
http://www.ourdeal.com.au/deal/arrivederci-one-metre-famous-pizza-$19
still 13 hours remaining to get the deal.
Arriverderci - pizza is very good, I've had better in Bris but still $19 for 1metre of pizza, this is pretty darn impressive ! ;o)
So i ordered the voucher, got it in my email, now do i still have to pay Arrivederci or have they already charged my card.
It's already been charged to your card.
It hasn't charged my card yet. and the voucher itself says "$19 for a 1 metre pizza instead of $55" and not something like "this voucher entitles you to a 1 metre pizza".
Ah k, that's interesting. That's how it works for these deals elsewhere, you pay the discounted price and you get a voucher. I would just assume the site (ourdeal, in this case) made their cut from the actual sale of the voucher, and giving you a coupon instead would be hard to police.
Ok I have now been charged and I went there tonight. Pizza isn't bad but IT IS NOT A 1 METRE IN DIAMETER PIZZA.
The pizza is 1 metre long, but it's only about 25cm wide. So what you're really getting is a long rectangular pizza.
For 19 bucks it's not a bad deal, but I wouldn't pay $55 for it when at Kookaburra cafe at Paddington (the next suburb over) you can get an actual 1 metre diameter pizza for $60 and it feeds 10 people.
Yes i have been charged on my credit card for $19
A kilometre of pizza for $19,000!? Bargain.
