great course. I did it, maybe 6 months ago or 18 months ago…. definitely less than 3 years ago

lol glad you could remember. :P
I was going to get the book but then I already had it on my kindle and apparently read it two weeks ago even though I can't remember reading it..

  • LOL.. Thought that was the argument for those Fidget Spinners?

    • It's possible this book is sold using the same "spin" technology!

  • +1

Thanks for the post. I had totally forgotten that I go this two weeks ago.

  • +2

Bugger, i don't remember my Amazon password.

    • +1

what are you waiting for? Get this book NOW!

      • You forgot he said he don't remember his password.

        • i was spoiling his joke

  • I keep forgetting to read all the books I buy, how will this solve my problem if I can't read it in the first place?

  • +1

Thanks! Can I teach that to my computer so I don't need to buy new HDD every year or so?

  • Why did I come here again?

  • +14

Absolutely loaded with fake reviews. Each reviewer appears to have written several reviews all recently and all within days apart from one another. This book must be complete crap if they need to resort to that kind of BS.

    • +3

      agree.
it happens a lot and that's all part of online marketing for these things. Get it high on the ranking system, then change it to $1 or so. I remember reading on a marketing site that one step was to also post it on OzBargain as a freebie - and its just what has happened :)
The book also probably has links to sites they sell memory pills for example.

      • +1

I've looked through the whole book, no links at all. Doesn't even mention other ebooks.

    • +1

Maybe they just forgot that they had reviewed it?

    • +5

I think this makes it worthy of a negative vote.

    • -3

all within days apart from one another.

As the book was published less than a month ago, of course all of the reviews would have been in the last month.

      • +12

No. You misunderstand. "All within days apart from one another" refers to each fake reviewers other reviews of other dubious and similarly dodgy products. Take this fake reviewer, "Mehedi!" who gave this piece of crap 5 stars and said it was "Great".
        https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/amzn1.account.AEV7TGKRAIIZ…
In the past 19 days, this fake reviewer has given 4 and 5 star reviews for no less than 18 books. So, they've somehow read 18 books in 19 days, including a complete book on programming SQL databases. Complete and utter crap.

    • +8

The reviews all have the same style with poor English. There is a non-fake review stating that the book itself also has poor English.

To protect its integrity, why doesn't Amazon clamp down on this practice? I've a hard time believing no-one has reported this item before. Or do they attract fees for each sale via Amazon such that it's more profitable in the long run to turn a blind eye? If so, I wish companies could be ethical for a change…

  • Shit@! I knew I forgot somethign!!!

  • +1

Uh, I clicked on this post, what am I here for again?

  • +1

    Does it whiten your teeth?

  • +1

I read the reviews and it looks like this book may help your memory but it reduces your English ability.

  • I don't remember if I actually got this or not. Maybe not. Sorry, busy with something else.

  • +4

I think free ebooks should be banned from being a top bargain. I treat all these bargains as ads on the front page. Nothing more.

    • +6

Agreed. These 'free' books are generally a pile of rubbish, written by people who aren't writers at all. They should be banned.

    • +2

You can hide ebook posts, if you want, by clicking "Hide" above, and then clicking "Hide deals from Amazon Cloud Reader". Then they won't appear on your front page.

    Bad book, doesn't help.

    • I might of read this, not sure if it helped or not.

    Click Bait: The Book

If there's one thing you don't want to buy from the bargain basement, it's educational books. It's such an investment of your time, spend the money and buy something that you know will be useful. And if you really don't have the money, just use a library.

    • V good advice. Problem is differentiating the crap from the good stuff with all these free Kindle books. I'm sure there must be one or two good ones.

I guess since I (like many of the other Ozbargainers here) just do a reflex buy when it is free, when it come times to browsing through the library there's a lot of rubbish in there!
      Oh well.

  • +1

I don't know about this book…I preferred that one trick which made college professors hate me!
