  • Some criticism - I'm not convinced by your site. It looks reasonably unprofessional and needs work. I'm not sure that I'd buy something from you. I'm not going to vote you down because there's no real reason to, so convince me why we'd buy something from you!

  • Hi,the post was only posted a few minutes prior to you looking I would hope you could have had a bit longer on the site to make a better judgement.
Though we would love to hear as to why you don't feel it looks professional enough?
We have had 112 orders since last Friday's opening which is great, though I would have to admit a lot of people have been following us for years on the web when I left Ebay many many years ago-so we have a good following through them. And we are wanting to get it more out there to the public.
We accept Paypal which in itself is a wonderful way to purchase online for all concerned.
There are no unexpected high postage prices to contend with checkout-the price is fully what you see.
If there is something you feel would help it look more professional or which would attract you to buy-we would love to hear.
    Best Regards.

  • Not sure what they think is a bargain shop, but it seems they think that the more expenisive something is, the more of a bargain it is? o_0

They do have pr0n DVDs though.

  • Hi, that's very untrue.
All items are below retail cost.
    Best Regards.

  • Well, in brief:

    • Your categories aren't in any alphabetical order, a bit all over the shop.

    • The text at the bottom of the site australianonlinebargains.com-copyright protected-2008 seems out of place.

    • The site looks different in Firefox than it does in Internet Explorer.

    • Graphics are a bit poorly put together.

    • As KLoNe says, a lot of people are looking for genuine bargains, not 5-10% off RRP. Your products don't appear to be especially cheap, although free postage helps. Perhaps advertising your best specials is an idea?

    • I also don't mean offence, but advertising that you or someone is suffering from Pemphigus Vulgaris is a bit off putting.

  • Hello again and thankyou very much for your thoughts-I'm not sure if we are able to look at the site via firefox?
I will put the catagories in alphabetical order-we have been adding items and hadn't done that as yet.
Most items are reduced more than 5-10%, the ones with recommended price in the description. Such as the Ambassador travel luggage-it retails for $399, the actual price tags are on the bags. These are less than half price.
We were asked to put the link to the Pemphigus Vulgaris on and had no problem helping someone out by doing this though I do see your point now you have pointed it out-this is why we love constructive critism-your points are very welcomed. Thankyou again.
    Best Regards

  • No problem. I'd suggest further comments are better away from this forum =)

  • Please go to contact us page on the site :0)

  • yeah I must agree that the site does not really attract me buying.
There is too much white space on the front page, which means the products pictures relatively small, a bit hard to see the front page products. mayve use larger pictures so there is less white space.
The footer and header of the site is not prof at all, no logo at the header ( just the biz name at the header) and the conact info isnt onthe footer. As Pyro said, the footer is also out of place.
Finally, the things arent really that cheap. prices are below retailer, but so is everything else that is posted on ozbargain.
I am acknoledging that the prices listed includes postage and paypal costs, but a simiar luggage set (http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/5-piece-luggage-set-blue/) costs $115 at dealsdirect.
Game prices ( Wii and NDS ) are slightly higher than JB hifi ( but of course they dunt need to include postage) :-)

  • Hi and thankyou for your comments-I'll try to do something with the front page.

Prices from wholesalers are given by the quantity-so they obviously purchased more of these than we did though we wont make that mistake again, and will purchase the quantity that can give an even cheaper price than them.

Costs on games varie everywhere and quite a lot of ours are cheaper than JB.
Thankyou for your comments there much appreciated.

Also since I put this thread on we have had a high volume of purchases and thank everyone for looking.
