I just posted 15mins ago about the specific one I'll be picking up lol

  • whats the benefits of using more expensive oils? mileage? quietness?

and when you bring it for your car service , how much less do they charge?

Better quality oil in your engine, longer service intervals. Some people say better mileage but I cannot confirm myself.

Normally service centres will charge $40-$70 for oil. Extra for full synthetic. By using the same amount of money to purchase the oil yourself, you know what is going into your car, and with this promotion, you are getting full synthetic for the price of mineral/semi synthetic.

      • If you BYO oil for the service is there an extra charge? Just got slugged $12 for bringing 1 bottle wine tonight at a cafe in west end (brisbane)

        • Normally no. Best to check with your mechanic.

      • Just bought 2 x 10 litres!

    • Penrite has zinc additives, not that important for modern engines but pre 2000 and all the way back to the classics it helps reduce wear a lot.

I use penrite in all my cars.. love the smell of it lol. Love it mixed with E85 :/

  • Another good deal here is Penrite MC4-ST PAO Ester which is 100% Ester based (the highest quality of synthetic oils) for motorcycles and is by far the cheapest 100% PAO Ester based oil when compared to Motul 300V ($140 for 4L), Yamalube ($100 for 4L) or Repsol ($125 for 4L). My local REPCO don't stock 4L variant of this so i can't get it at their Penrite sales.

  • Waiting for Castrol Edge special - only use that in my cars since last 3-4 years. Typically 5W-30 comes as low as $25 or $30.

Why is there nothing in 10W30? :|
