  • Haven't bought a 🔦 in a while.

What's the current exchange rate for Chinese Lumens?

    • +1

The Lumen for this torch, really depends on the 18650 Battery used in it. A high drain Samsung 30Q would get you pretty close to the 1600 Lumens.

In the 1A tint and if you do dual sprig bypasses one on the driver side and other on the switch you will get close to the rated lumens. You will also need a good battery.

      • Spoken like a true prepper.

    • Or get the 5a and have a nice warm tint (at the expense of some lumens)

  • Where can I get a good battery that will successfully arrive in Aus?

    • Plenty on ebay from local sellers, that's where i got my 2 Samsung INR18650 30Q's :)

If price isn't an issue, then these are local stock:

      2x Panasonic NCR18650GA for $25.95

      2x Samsung 18650 INR-30Q for $25.95

I've personally purchased them, and can confirm they are genuine.

EDIT: There are cheaper seller, but can't guarantee that they are genuine.

    • I've bought heaps of banggood, all arrived no worries, all genuine. Only issue is (sometimes) wait time - either it'll be here in a week, or it will take more than a month. /2c

Great torch. I bought the Astrolux version and quality is excellent as is the light output. This is a great price. I paid usd$20 on sale and I thought that was good. I bought the 5A version and I really like the warm white. My first such torch.

    • After having cool lights for so long, my first warm light was a revelation!

  • Bought 3 torches to be used on our bikes for commuting home after work. Didn't think to order the batteries as well, but I've got enough dead 4x cell battery packs that I'm sure a few of the batteries in them will still work (even I rip the pack apart). Thanks

  • This will not have lock out right…?

    • Nope even if you loosen the tail cap its none anodized.
