Normally $7, Staff said they could not sell to me for the online price as it scanned as $6 in store. Most likely a price error and should be $1 off, not reduced to $1.
However they did honour it in a roundabout way: the staff said to do a pick up in store purchase (i.e. no shipping charges) online on my smartphone while in store and they'd hand it over at that price.
Stash a few away and give them to the kids when their pester power gets the better of you.
Thanks- but as a heads up for ignorant people like me…the contents (besides the chest) is virtual for in game- I was hoping it was little character things which you could hold in your hand and play with. I reckon our amiibos have had just as much, if not more, real playtime versus virtual play. But great bribes to stash away if you have the game.

That's just a dodgy quirk of their website JV… you can order 5 for pick-up (total cost $5), and it will say '1 available' meaning that they can fulfill your order of 5. Impressively, EB games seems to process online store-pickup orders in record time… I ordered 5 from two different EB outlets (in VIC), and was advised via email that they were ready for pickup less than 5 minutes later, from both. Sure enough, I went, and they were there/ready.

Yep probably good to let people know that it's virtual items - it's basically physically unlocked DLC. Also once you've scanned it in, you can't scan it again on the same account/profile. You'd need to make a new save under a different account to re-use it.

Picked up my order of 5, which was the max you could order online, from Forest Hill, VIC. They had 1 remaining which I also picked up. The salesperson said it had just updated in their system online as being $1 in store also. The online numbers showed only 1 available but she said often that's just indicating that they have stock.
Got 10 on the GC, had to make two orders though.
