  • Says the flash sale is over when I add to cart?

    • Hmm yeah, I'll PM the rep. I saw after posting that it was supposed to start at 6pm, perhaps they jumped the gun.

My purchase went through fine after posting but I can see it's not working now.

Edit: Maybe it sold out. See here

      Only 0%

      0% = availability. That was 98% earlier.

      • Yeah but shows up on the purchase page as 377 remaining.. Bit annoyed cause I was chasing one but oh well.

Nevermind, got 3x refills instead thanks.

  • Shows up as 2.69 for me

  • +1

Nope i have it for $1.99 and 3xrefills for $2.65

  • not working for me

  • +5

Can someone with experience tell me how good these are?

    • +1

Mine started leaking after 3 days.

    • +3

Not good imo. I bought 3 and regret it.

It's a heavy pen, and does not write particularly special. The ink comes out wet and will smudge more than a ballpoint will. If you're a lefty, forget it. On glossy paper I can't recommend it at all, not just because it's wet, but because for some reason the strokes come out hollow in the center.

Also, neither the Japanese or the Swiss can figure out how to make blue ink. I've never been a fan of black ink.

  • Showing up as $4 for me. Wowsers. Who do you think i am?!

  • +2

what does this pen do that others can't?

  • Showing flash sale as over.

  • Changes to $5.62 when added to cart.

  • Can I make phone calls from it?

    • +1

No, but you can use it to write 20th century vintage style letters and postcards that you send via snail mail. I have heard rumors that the physical mail system might even be available in some areas where there is no band 28.

    • +1

It won't make phone calls, not until you root the device and install a new ROM on it.

    This deal = premature ejaculation

  • +1

I bought two of these pens from the last deal, they are good but not as good as people make them out to be. I wouldn't pay more than $2.50 AUD for them

  • +2

My last one never even arrived…

  • +1

Actually pretty decent pens! Well worth it for this price.

    • But is it worth the wait?

      • +1

Depends on how long the story is.

  • +1

    I want a black one for $1.99

    • +3

      OK

  • +1

Never got the last lot I ordered

    • Also never delivered. Have started up a dispute at paypal.

    • +1

Mine just arrived today from the last deal.

    • I bought mine from Everbuying instead of GB not because EB was cheaper but because I had an excess of EB points I was never going to use. I got mine pretty quick. I feel for you guys who are still waiting for your orders from last time. Unfortunately the pens were underwhelming. Based on comments I was expecting the ink to come out looking like a ballpoint pen, but dry. Instead it is wet ink and it will smudge. It's similar to a roller ball pen but dries quicker than that. I think. It's been a while since I've used one.

I gave one to my sister who is not a pen coinoiseur, and she thought it was just any other ordinary pen. Did not notice anything different or special about it.

Don't get me wrong, I do not think they're a rip off at $2. But boy were my expectations set high by the comments from people who've owned one.

    • I didn't receive mine, and I never even ordered one!

  • +1

Apparently this deal should be available again tomorrow at around the same time 5pm in limited quantity once more. Check back then if you wanted to grab one.

  • +1

Ok I'm on the website now, but I'm not seeing the deal. Its still showing $5.62

    • Same for me

      • ditto

  • +1

Received one from a previous deal today, initial impressions are….. it's just a pen, a well made one though. Not sure if I was expecting too much to be somewhat impressed by the writing experience, but at the end of the day still just a pen.

    • Hmm thanks for the review. Makes me less interested in trying it out now.

    • It's cheap enough that I don't feel ripped off that it is only a pen, but my expectations were so high..

  • Finally arrived from previous deal. Took 38 days.
Pen takes thin parker style refills. A normal Parker branded refill doesn't fit, but you should be able to find something that does as parker size refills are common.
I am guessing the thinner D1 size refills can be hacked to fit also.
