just be aware that at JB it comes with a free black band as well. i brought a blue one this morning with the free black band

    Hmm sweat, rain and splashproof.

    In other words, not waterproof.

Not a great idea in a watch made in 2017 designed for individuals who enjoy sport.

  • Only 4 up votes but the blue has been sold out. Black still available here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/322487528502

  • Warning to anyone who purchases this watch. You need to remove it from the band to charge it. I returned mine and got a S3 Gear. Costs more, but a much better watch.

    • At least this means that the bands are replaceable, unlike with the Charge and Charge HR etc that don't allow this so that when the band bubbles and then breaks the unit is virtually unusable.

Least votes for one of the lowest prices. Okay there might not be there extra band. But people go crazy for 5% off ebay or Amex deal.

  • I have a Blaze and want to warn any potential buyers that unless your phone is on their compatible device list don't expect it to work properly.

If it works then great, if it doesn't you'll get no support and they'll tell you to use another device or computer to sync.

Fitbit's compatible device list is horribly out of date with many popular handsets from previous years and months not added.

For example, LG G4, LG G5, Moto Z, Moto Z Play, Moto G4 Plus, HTC 10, Google Pixel/XL, OnePlus2/3T are all not supported.

    • Just 'cause it's not on the list doesn't mean it won't work. Official-ish statement from Fitbit (regarding one specific case): https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/Google-Pixel-amp…

Edit: Moreso the note about BlueTooth 4.. but if you need absolute assurance that something will work and you'll get full support, there are always other options.

      • Yep totally understand, but you have other phones running BLE 4 and still having issues, i.e Samsung Galaxy S8, Moto Z, etc. You'll also find some Google Pixel users using say Charge HR will have no problems but those using Blaze will. It varies depending on the tracker in use and software version.

That statement means nothing, the mods are all volunteers and are not staff. Besides if that is the case then why can't Fitbit add it to their compatibility list? They keep telling the Fitbit community that they are constantly testing android devices but in reality they are not updating the list, it's been static for a long time now.
