      WOWOW $9 saving.

Given that the price of $99 is already discounted and other retailers are $160+ I would say that yes the savings are substantial.

Even if the regular price was $99 how is a saving of 10% not worth a post?

Are you taking over from JV?

      • +8

        JV's comments were entertaining.

          JV's comments were entertaining.

Good point at least he makes at attempt at humour.

        • +4

@Maverick-au: Agreed, tuzii's comments are just useless. Is there a way to mute users?

          EDIT: Found it :)

        • @Maverick-au: That is merely something we project onto JV, because we would like to think JV is at least partially normal. The fault is understandable, but it is solely our own.

    • Get some sun, your depression is showing.

  • thanks, been needing one for a while.

Did they have many at Mile End G0bbo?

    • +1

Probably should've mentioned the one i got was the only one i saw, but as it wasn't marked as clearance or anything I'm guessing there should be stock around

      • cheers got the last one from Mile End, much appreciated. sorry i didn't comment earlier.

        • just realised the one i got had different accessories than the OP.

mine has 1 snake attachment, 25 accessories, a blue wall mounting case thingo, and an exra drill head with 7 bits

  • +2

Dremels suck? Mine has 2 speeds, piss weak and vibrate so hard you cant hold onto it.

    • +50

Are you sure youre not trying to use a dildo to cut stuff

      • Haha

        • +1

          the 2 spd dremels suck

this one is apparently variable speed so it runs a slider knob to control it

      • Don't confuse the two. Someone could die, and you would end up getting dremelled in prison.

  • +1

Not sure if these do the same job but I bought a Ryobi multi function tool. It is hands down the most rubbish power tool I've bought. I think I'd struggle to cut butter with it.

    • +1

This does seem like a good price though. I paid more for the Ryobi, just think these tools are bad at most jobs.

    • +6

Multitools vibrate, whereas this is more like a mini highspeed drill with different attachments. Not quite the same sort of purpose.

    • When it comes to Multi-Tools, prob similar to Rotary Tools, blade quality makes a huge difference.

Get some Diablo Blades. Same as the Bosch.

  • Looks like I'm off to Bunnings…

  • Can anyone confirm this is available at other stores? Specifically victoria?

    • +1

I just went to Bunnings Mile End (SA) as the OP had mentioned, but all gone. Got the number for the nearest store in Marion and had them hold one for me as there were 6 left. Upon arriving there were only 2 on the shelf.

    • +1

      Spotted at Maribyrnong

  • +1

Could not find stock at Castle Hill. No labels either. OP's is probably stock found in the backroom somewhere.

  • +1

There's 2 on the shelf at Bunnings Marion for $90. $99 original.

  • Any in NSW? Or SA only? Ideally randwick needed 😊

    • +1

Alexandria have some. I got the project version for 49$

  • Can anyone make out the F/L number off the shelf 62800** ?

    • +1

      …95?

      • +1

        Yes, fine line is 6280095

  • I wish I had bought this now after seeing this post. Didn't think it was anything special. More tools but 10 less bits.

    • Bunnings Alexandria have around 6 of these. Better value

    • That was a great deal you missed.

  • Rang Bunnings Mile End and they advised as far as he could determine, all stores in SA have sold out, was a promotional line.

  • FWIW, I just passed bunnings in Eltham, Vic. No stock at all.

  • Anyone checked any Sydney/NSW bunnings stores?

    • Bunnings Mascot not Alexandria. I made a mistake

      • +1

There is stock at Blacktown, Ashfield, Thornleigh and Rydalmere.

        • Awwww yiss. I don't really need a dremel but… i need dis. Hope it also ends up being $90. I remember that snake tool being quite expensive on it's own.

  • I've already got a cordless dremel kit but am tempted to grab just for the snake tool and other accessories. anyone want just the tool itself?

  • Al though it's cheap it's still pushing into the price range of a die grinder except the die grinder won't have any included accessories.

  • Thornleigh in sydney is out of stock. Poop.

  • Confirmed, picked up the last one off the shelf at NSW Campbelltown store, they where selling it for $80.

  • Checked at some Vic stores - all sold out
    Moorabin, Chadstone and Notting Hill

  • Just rang Bunning Keysborough,
They said it's not on special and it's still scan at $120
    WTF

  • I have two of these. One is a Dremel brand, one is an Ozito. Aside from the shitty bits that came with the Ozito, they are functionally nearly identical, and the Ozito comes with a replacement warranty.

    • I have two of these. One is a Dremel brand, one is an Ozito. Aside from the shitty bits that came with the Ozito, they are functionally nearly identical, and the Ozito comes with a replacement warranty.

The Ozito is rubbish in all respects. The Dremel you can buy every part for to repair it even ten years later, the Ozito is thrown out and replaced.

      • Yeah for free.

Mate, I use both, all the time. Functionally there is almost no difference. I also have an Ozito hammer drill. It's great, and goes through the red brick of my house better than my Makita.

        • +1

I too have both, both worked similar to each other till the ozito failed… Does the ozito have lifetime replacement warranty?

        • Yeah for free.

For how long? As zuutooto said is the warranty forever? The Ozito is a POS compared to the Dremel.

Mate, I use both, all the time. Functionally there is almost no difference.

Sure they both spin around but you can't compare them as one does it a lot more efficiently. It's like comparing a $2 hooker with a $1500 escort, functionally there is almost no difference but I know which one I'd rather use.

I also have an Ozito hammer drill. It's great, and goes through the red brick of my house better than my Makita.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense, once again compare a POS low end tool that is designed to fail and a better designed tool that is clearly lower spec. Why not compare like for like?

        • @Maverick-au: And again. I own them both. Functionally identical. You can keep saying they are pieces of shit, but they work the same way, and reliability is thus far identical. I believe all Ozito tools come with a 2year full replacement warranty. I always keep my receipts, but thus far I haven't need to use them.

        • @Burnertoasty:

And again. I own them both. Functionally identical. You can keep saying they are pieces of shit, but they work the same way, and reliability is thus far identical.

The Ozito is a POS, it's operation is nowhere as near as smooth as the Dremel, it doesn't have the same range of accessories, the bits that it comes with are rubbish and you cannot get parts to fix it.

I believe all Ozito tools come with a 2year full replacement warranty.

So what happens after the two years? You throw it into landfill.

        • @Maverick-au: It cost $30 and can use Dremel brand bits. Its just as smooth. Do you own both? I don't know If I've mentioned this, but I do. I don't know if I've said this before, but functionally, they are identical. Your brand loyalty is excellent, but saying the same thing over and over, without backing it up, doesn't make you right. Your presumption that the Ozito will break is interesting. I have had no problems from either the Dremel or the Ozito, and use both equally. The Dremel certainly has better bits, but you end up replacing all the bits from either within the first year anyway, when you use them.

        • @Burnertoasty:

I have both, Ozito failed for me.

I can tell you that my Ozito wasn't as smooth as the Dremel and there is a reason why I bought another Dremel today not an Ozito, it's because the Ozito broke.

        • @zuuutoootuuu: You should have taken it back to Bunnings. Free Ozito forever.

        • @Burnertoasty:
Have to agree with maverick, ozito can be rubbish, had one given to me as a gift, it burnt out in 5mins if mild use, most of the bits that cane with were substandard too, i cherry picked some and binned the rest. You must have got the good one!
          Use a dremel i inheirited that's a decade+ old and hasn't skipped a beat with intermittant use.

        • @Burnertoasty:

You should have taken it back to Bunnings. Free Ozito forever.

You don't get a new two year warranty on Ozito rubbish each time they replace it!

  • Plenty at Chatswood, NSW. Around 8 or so left, off location near the Kingchrome gear. Scanned at $90 no issues.

  • +1

Why is everyone going for the $90 version when the same thing can be had for $49. Am I missing something here?

    • Why is everyone going for the $90 version when the same thing can be had for $49. Am I missing something here?

If you can find this same product for $49 why don't you post the details?

      • +1

It's already been posted above. The $49 has 10 less bits but more attachments. Stock might be a little harder to find, but Bunnings Mascot had a few.

  • Adelaide: Bunnings Kent Town and Mile End didn't have any of the 'Silver Edition' left. Marion had 1 which I grabbed for $90. Cheers for the heads up.

  • None in Mt Gambier
