Original 20% off Tech at Participating Stores eBay Deal

Best price on OzBargain to date on Panasonic's flagship 4K LED TV from 2016.

Equivalent UK model's review by respected website HDTVTest.co.uk: http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/tx58dx902b-201604174282.htm

I would definitely pick one up if I had the cash. Cracking picture, a guy at JB Hi-Fi offered me an ex-display model the other day for approx. $2700,with minor scratches, store-wear etc. So to see it this low, brand new with no hours on it, definitely a bargain.

I saw that sprayed as graffiti at my local toilet.

I got my Sammy 65" 4K a year ago for under $2500 from eBay Good guys.
    Has TV prices gone up?

    • +3

this is a flagship pana screen I'm guessing.

    • Havent looked at TV for 7 years… does samsung 4k come with diferent panels S5, S6 and S7,S8 like plasma before?

      • +1

Different Series 6000, 7000, 8000, 9000 with some variations for curved screens

    • +3

It is very different from your $2500 edge lit TV and this backlit flagship. This has 512 independent local dimming zones. The original price for this is over 6000. In term of color accuracy, this panel is much better than most LCD TVs, you will understand that if you know relative knowledge and read a few detailed reviews. But at this moment, some 55 OLEDs like LG C7 may be better choice if you do not need extra size.

  • At jb we were selling these new a month ago when there was plenty of stock around the $26xx hardly a bargin for a finished model

    • +1

Maybe worth posting back then. Any stock left?

      • All gone there was only about 4ish per store when they went clearance maybe the sales person could do a stock check on pda to see if any stores are showing 2ish

Supposed to be the best pic quality since sliced salami.
But the Sony 9300 65inch is now $2995 and gets better reviews for overall usage.
Panasonic is full array local dimming (FALD) back lit, while the Sony is double edge lit with a dozen or so polarized dimming zones
I bought the Sony today at jb as no more boxed pana's available in qld , for $3050.39 with 5.5 years warranty
If picture quality and contrast are everything then I would go the Panasonic, but there are some comparable alternatives available at good prices now

          @Beach Bum:

          Sony 9300 65inch

I have the 55", my only complaint is the dirty screen effect, grey uniformity and the god-awful remote.

Everything else is great though and 4K looks stunning.

  • How does this compare to the Sony 9300 and Z9D TV's?
