48x Double Length Recycled Toilet Paper Rolls for $20 + Delivery @ Who Gives a Crap

963

Pay what you want (minimum $20) for your first delivery of "Who Gives A Crap" recycled toilet paper.

The promotion runs from now until Earth Day (Saturday 22nd of April) or until stock runs out.

Normal subscription price is $48. Rolls are 3-ply, double length, so they work out to 25c per 100 sheets at the full subscription price.

They also have tissues and paper towel available (not part of this deal), although if you add tissues or paper towel to your cart it looks like you can also apply the TP4EVA coupon for $10 off.

Not sure if a $30 minimum is required for free delivery with this promotion as my cart total was over $30 anyway.

Update: The TP4EVA coupon no longer works, but 48 rolls for $20 is still cheaper than their normal introductory offers (usually $10 off).

      Same here, maybe OzBargained already?

    • Yep code doesn't seem to work anymore.

Can the subscription be cancelled later on or immediately. I hate subscriptions.

    • +2

Cancel it after you get the goods. It's is natural that you dont need so much TP for you bumhole

    • +1

When I ordered a couple of weeks ago, I was able to cancel straight away and still got the delivery

  • +2

How much of the environment impact savings is offset by the manual delivery of each package, rather than say someone buying poo tickets from the supermarket as part of their already weekly shop?

    • +1

Doesnt matter.. It all should relate to buying Sydney houses and the dream of it! Buying cheap TP is best for this outcome.

Do it Use referal links above.

Made the switch from Quilton to recycled toilet paper a year ago. Cheaper and planet friendlier. Win-Win.

    • I'm a Quilton user myself, housemate bought some WCAG and I'm quite happy with it!

  • Why the subscription based selling model? I've always been cautious of items being sold through this method. I believe that if the product is really good you'll go back and buy it anyway without having to lock yourself into a contract.

    • You can cancel it after you get the items.

  • +1

Great for weddings and O week.

  • I cannot get the 48 rolls for 20 dollars from the link? - Sorry I was being stupid.

  • It seems like they started to cancel orders who have used the code or have ordered more than one box…

  • +2

We're sorry for the confusion, but our system flagged your order and we've had to cancel it since it's in violation of the terms of our Pay What You Want campaign. Crappy, we know, but them's the rules. Your refund will come through in the next 5 or so business days.

As we described on our website, the discount only applies to the first box of a subscription (meaning it's limited to a quantity of one box). We've also put a minimum price, and we've made clear that it's not to be combined with any other offers. We're a social enterprise, so if we're losing money we're not able to achieve our ultimate mission—ensuring everyone in the world has access to a toilet.

We hope you'll understand, and we invite you to repurchase a single box without the discount code. Our toilet paper is already really good value, and this is a unique opportunity to try it at an even better value!

Thanks for understanding, and we hope you'll give us another try!

Oh well. Still good to buy it at RRP though. Might buy some

    • When did you get that email?

    • I just got the same email :'(

  • So now it becomes $28 for 48 rolls? Are they still bargain?

    • Well if they are reading this, their system still allows 3x$20 for $60. I think as long as you dont use a discount it might be ok?

But for new users can use the referral codes (above post) - to get $10 which should be ok to use?

      • would they count referral codes as discount codes? wouldn't want to have the order cancelled again.

        • I dont know. Even if they cancel it they probably still let you buy again?

I think they want more people buying it so yeah. OzB is already a great platform for them.

      • Don't think so, it says the first box is $20, it might read as $60 for 3 but I bet they cancel your order voting it $20 for the first box and $48 for each after

    • Well it works out to be $0.15/100 sheets, and the cheapest comparable rolls are Aldi's 3 ply x24 for $8.49, which equates to $0.19/100 sheets.

In other words if you were to get WGAC you'd pay in equivalent of $6.65 for Aldi's pack of 24, a saving of $1.84.

Bear in mind WGAC sheets are 10x10 cm and Aldi's are 11x10 cm, which means they're 9.1 % smaller. So In effect you're saving $1.67 off Aldi's offering.

Call cornholio!! I need TP for my bunghole!

  • Mine not cancelled yet.

  • Preloved toilet papers. Always look after your backside.

  • I buy this regularly. It's the best recycled paper that I've tried. I used to buy the stuff from supermarkets which was very disappointing. Not the best TP out there, but if you enjoy the social impact part of the company, then I think it's the best TP out right now (until perhaps Thankyou co release rolls).

They present the rolls well, each is wrapped in colourful paper which is designed to protect the rolls from moisture without plastic.

For $20 it's a bargain. You should buy it. They don't spam me even though I signed up which is nice.

    • Do you have an actual picture of the TP? Im interested to see the real picture of them, box/cover and also TP itself/roll. thx

Just had my order cancelled. :(

    • +4

      Same here.
They really throw the charity guilt at you in that cancellation email.
Oh well. Still ok deal. Not neg worthy in my opinion its still a deal for cheap tp.

      • +7

ugh. if they can't deal with low-ball offers, perhaps they shouldn't be running "pay what you want" offers.

reminds me of a certain Indian restaurant in Perth that runs on a similar concept, but pull sour faces regardless of how much you give them; it's never enough.

  • I hope these are better than those thin easily ripped ones in public toilets…

  • +1

Cancelled as well. Can't really be bothered signing up at the $28 price point

  • +2

Cancelled as well. Crap excuse. Fix your website! Rather than take CC & email details, and setup a forced 16 week auto-reorder which is probably still ACTIVE.

  • +3

    BIGGEST SCAM ON OZBARGAIN?
THEY FORCED REPEAT-ORDER SUBSCRIPTIONS, CANCELLED EVERYONES ORDERS, BUT SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE STILL ACTIVE, WITH NO APPARENT WAY TO CANCEL THIS.
    Holy Crap.
EDIT: There is a cancel possibility, but not under the main subscription page.

  • +2

My order is marked as "fulfilled".

Did people receive a cancellation email, or did they have the status of their order changed to "cancelled"?

EDIT: Just read above. Haven't received an email yet, so maybe I got lucky…

    • +1

      Received my shipping notification.

  • +3

They usually charge $8 shipping to my rural local. It's pushed up to $16. Neg.

  • Got cancellation email too for my order of 2 x 48 rolls for 40 bucks

Don't think im going to bother with ordering back with them either - going to stick to good ol Emporia!

    • Their cancellation e-mail didn't make it clear whether they're cancelling orders because we can't use the $10 off code with the pay what you want deal, or we're only allowed 1 x 48 rolls with that deal.
Since you didn't use the code, I guess it's the latter?

      • Sorry that should read 2 x 48 rolls for 30 bucks using the TP4EVA code

  • +3

I've done a test to see how they are charging us for shipping (country NSW postcode)

    1) I order the regular $48 box and shipping is $8 (https://au.whogivesacrap.org/collections/all/products/double…)

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/kw3otwv4w3t2q1x/Capture_original.j…

    2) I order the special @ $48 and shipping is $8 (https://au.whogivesacrap.org/products/100-recycled-toilet-pa…)

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/hew0i1mhqgfs6lj/Capture_special_%2…

    3) I order the special @ $27 and shipping is $16 (https://au.whogivesacrap.org/products/100-recycled-toilet-pa…)

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/tkghkkwcz03gxte/Capture_special_%2…

All these screenshots were taken @ ~5pm on 20/04/2017.

Not sure why they would charge an extra $8 when ordering the same item? Seems like a way of recouping money for someone who offers less or is it an error?

    • Is there a min order for shipping or something like that ? Sorry on holiday no time to research..

  • Hmm, my order of 3x 48 rolls using a referral code for a total of $50 says it's been fulfilled, and no other email from them to say that it's been cancelled…

    • how did you add more than 1 x 48? I tried doing every sub week to see if that made a difference and it would show up in cart and refresh and disappear…

      • I changed the quantity in the cart to 3 and hit enter. Maybe they closed this loophole after I ordered?

        • yeah I think so, it doesn't work for me and I tried on different browsers too haha.

  • I was able to checkout with the referral code for 1 x 48. So paid $18 delivered. Will update if they cancel lol!

  • I think it is a very poorly organised promotion. From ordering to cancellation, no clear rules, confusions. Ozbargainers' time also worth a lot. I know it is a good cause, etc. my opinion, if you cannot get it right the first time, very normal, wear it and move on. My local pizza shop had a grand opening 5 dollars pizza, ran out in 5 mins. What did they do? For everyone who turned up, a free pizza voucher. So I do not know. Do you really need 3 ply, not sure. If you have a Costco near you, I think their products are very competitively priced. Plus subscription based selling. I do not know. Sorry about these guys, but this is truely how I felt. i think it is better that the company hear this rather than I just keep quiet. After all these, I did not order, did not order. Enjoy bargain hunting guys.

  • I got 2 at $40. It is marked as shipped but it also state that 1 of 2 boxes. It says will be delivered today shall see.

    • Received the item and login my account to cancel the subscription today. Enough rolls to last more than a year

  • +1

Got 2 for $30, delivered today. Bargain! Cheers Stoz :)

    • +1

Lucky you!! Mine was cancelled. :(

But my reorder of 3x$20 worked!

So @ $20 a box is not too bad!

  • Or you could just pay more than the minimum (I chose $35, shipping is free over $30 anyway) and still consider it a bargain, esp as it's a charitable organisation.

We regularly buy this loo roll and it's totally fine. We don't pamper our butts with that super soft stuff!

  • Well they honored my order of 3 boxes for 50$ delivered. Much bottom cleaning ahead.

    • Yeah they sent mine out as well. Annoyingly they use Fastway, and despite previous Fastway packages being dropped off at the nearby Parcel Connect point this one has been returned to the depot. The only options are to redeliver when nobody will ever be home, PAY (seriously?) to redirect it to a new address or go to their crappy South Melbourne depot to collect it… :/
