Large Capacity Outdoor/Hiking Backpack US$9.10 (AU$12.14) Delivered @ DD4.com

340

So I was looking for a backpack, searched "backpack" on OzB and came up with the expired deal by rawm. Same thing, same store, a couple of cents cheaper. It might expire today though. For that price I'll give it a go. From the website:

Item Height: 51cm
Interior: Interior Slot Pocket
Item Width: 19cm
Type: Backpacks
Have Drawbars: No
Style: Sport
Material: Nylon Polyester
Hardness: Soft
Lining Material: Polyester
Item Length: 32cm
Gender: Unisex Men Women
Pattern: Patchwork
Closure Type: Zipper
Capacity: 40L
Item Weight: approx 0.8kg
Number of Handles/Straps: Two

Six colours available, I got a red one for something different. I can't vouch for the quality yet but there are some positive comments in rawm's deal and after buying a below average $20 backpack from Target I think this will rate above it.

    What's shipping like from DD4?
Im flying in 2 months' time and hoping to use this as cabin luggage, just wondering if it'll arrive in time.
    Do yes or do no?

    • +2

Yeah go for it. It's usually 4-6 weeks from these mobs so you should be alright. I think my last purchase was around 4 weeks.

I bought the black one, but now fear I can't go back…

    • +3

Well once you go black you never… yeah nevermind.

    • I didn't buy one, but voted anyway.

      • +2

        That's the OzB way.

No hang on, I think that's I didn't need one but bought one anyway.

    • But isn't black slimming?

      • That's what she said.

        • Didn't she say "does my bum look big in this"?

        • +1

          @D1977: I think that's a lose/lose question.

        • @D1977:
big bums are the new black!

  • cheers need it for hiking

  • Forget the title and be aware of the size and look at the photos of the product you are buying.
At 51cm this would most often be called a 'Day Pack' and is about the same size as a school backpack, it's not a camping/outdoor 'Large Capacity Backpack' that most people would expect from the title.

    • Yes, it's called marketing. It's $12, would you expect proper hiking gear for that price? I doubt it.

How's the quality? And will you be able to smuggle a sleeping bag in it?

    • +1

As Wolfy helpfully mentioned above, these are small. I doubt you'd fit a sleeping bag in there. Or if you did, then not much else. I ordered one just for daily to/from work for bits and pieces and not for some super outdoor adventure.

Ok thanks, decided to get one anyways.

  • What's the best colour for rescuers to be able to see? I'm thinking green is not it.

    • Umm. Pink? Just guessing here lol.

      • Not an option, from the look of the deal image.

        • It is if you actually checked out the deal.

    • Not Large Capacity

Claims 40 litres, but from the photos and stated dimensions, it is a 25 litre pack.

51x31x19cm is a 30 litre envelope. Looks like single-stitch zips. Flimsy?

  • rubbish material…mine made so many scratches on my laptop.
