Modern power supplies are rated 100-240V. Couldn't find specs for the it but I'm assuming it would be a safe bet.
It would have USA Type two straight pins. Also, it would not be safety approved for use in Australia. As the savings are enough, $80 vs $115, better to buy an approved power supply here in Australia.
It will most likely be a 110v-240v AC to 12V DC little power plug brick that you would only need to use a plug adaptor for.
That item (the plug adaptor) is not safe nor legal for use in Australia.
It has no insulation on the pins.
Plenty of my plugs at home do not have insulation on the pins - its not illegal to use legacy plugs, but that plug has no certifications so I'd be avoiding it too.
You can try one of these ones from Bunnings if you're concerned about the insulation + safety bit.
We got by ok for decades before they decided to add insulation.

Yep and our death toll keeps increasing as they add more and more regulations. Other countries have fewer deaths despite being able to do their own electrical work. Australia the smart country.

I've posted it all in the past, it's all readily available from the ABS. Compare Australia and NZ for a start. NZ had the same laws as us but they changed to allow homeowners to do their own work and their death rate dropped in half from being the same as ours and has stayed at that rate.
These plugs are not good. The metal is not thick enough, and won't work in many PowerPoints.
What I did is just twisting the pins with a plier a little bit enough to plug in to the wall sockets.
Meh, screw compliance, just get your old modem adapter if you're not brave enough. Most modems share same power adapter anyway. Or get a throwaway one on Gumtree, no one even manage to sale it off.
This one or the xiaomi router for streaming, downloading, gaming?
Thank you :)
I think any router could do that.
Ummm, we'll not really at a satisfying performance, no Lag, latencies etc.
I think the lag and latencies would have more to do with your ISP and distance to the server.
I guess one would need to add the cost of an Australian 240v power supply? Maybe $15 to $25 ?
