Saves spending half an hour bouncing between the counter and the back warehouse with their inefficient collect system.

  • +2

Just got a call that they are out of stock and going to try to reorder with supplier. Will call in a few hours with ETA

    • So you made an order, and then received phone call from them?

thinking about it the stores in wa haven't opened yet so they cant be out of stock unless they had none. So this is either a misprice or in store its still cheap. For the people in WA who cant order or price match which is it?

    Good luck sand gropers!

  • Showing as not available for me… :(

  • really think this is wrong price. so much different compare with other stores. average is $60-80.
and look at logitech official website. $109!

probably the bad guys tried to type 79.95 but end up with 19.95?

    who knows….

or it is just a clearance, not uncommon with GG and HN.

      • Clearance on a brand new item? These only got released recently I believe.

        • my googling showing a review from october 2016 somewhere around that.

        • @dragonindespair: yeah not sure why people negged you. This discount seems unreasonable for an item that's under a year old. Looks like a price error for sure but they're honoring it.

        • Nevermind, mentioned below already.

    • Yeah i was thinking the same thing. But the Ebay store had it at the same price which makes it seem deliberate? (Altho it could still have mistakenly come down through the TGG system from above and all their online departments had to change it).

I managed to pick one up from Greenacre NSW about an hour ago. Apparently another customer had placed the last two available on hold. I hope they got it in time before the sale ended as I doubt they'll be able to claim a match if they come now

      • Kogan did this as well, ended up as a price error.

        • +1

ahhh ok. Yeah, to be honest, i love a good pricing error as much as the next guy. But i kinda do feel for whoever mis-typed it in. Depending on how big a cost it ended up being to the retailer, I can imagine someone's job potentially being a little less secure all of a sudden.

      • +4

But the Ebay store had it at the same price which makes it seem deliberate?

Not necessarily, I know of several retailers who use platforms like Magento where they update the price on one system and it pushes through updates to all their sales channels eg website, POS, eBay store etc.

      • +1

It is usually all automated from one central database, so they just set a price or discount in the main management database and it propagates out to the various websites and even generates banners, ads, emails for the sales.
Though there should be checks for selling under cost price and automatic "this is selling faster than reasonable" flags/blocks. So it is their own fault if they sell too cheap without explicit orders to override and clear at a loss.

    • Wrong price or not, people have already been getting shipped notifications.

      • I haven't got my shipped notification yet, ordered this morning :(

    • My order was shipped yesterday. Got email notification from Auspost. Some others already picked up through click&collect. It's not pricing error.

      • it was error but probably the system is too automated so some slipped through…

  • Anyone have a screenshot of the original so I can try price match at officeworks?

    • +1

Yeah I emailed myself a screenshot of the original GoodGuys site with the mouse and the price, incase I was asked to show proof

      • Can you put it up on here?

  • Is it a price error ?

    • +2

No, I got a call confirming the order and it has now been shipped

  • Paid $88 at OW several weeks ago, good mouse, can recommend for sure.

Wish officeworks would match TGG (on their site) so i can do a price protection claim!

  • +1

I got shipping notification 10 minutes after ordering.
    Coming from Daniels Muir's p/l.

  • I got an email 20 minutes ago my order has shipped.
    That was fast :O

    • +1

ordered mine at 9am. still waiting for shippig notifaction

      • Same.. Hmmmm!

        • just called customer support. they know about the pricing error, and are trying to contact stores and figure out where all the stock is, and how many of the orders can be fulfilled. he said if i haven't received an email by this afternoon, to call them 1300 466 348, and check what's happening.

        • +2

          @onesimpleclik:

Ahhh, dammit! I'm guessing if it hasn't shipped by now it won't be coming :(

Edit: I just called the store and was told the stock has been allocated but they haven't shipped it yet. Probably won't go out until tomorrow morning.

  • Just bought it via ebay 20% from pc.byte the other day. Does anyone know if paypal/amex provides price protection?

    • Depends on your card. Amex usually does. Check their site.

      • Hmm doesn't seem like it for the Qantas Amex discovery. Goddamn it.

        Thanks for the response though.

        • +1

I think most cards require a price difference of ~$70 to make a claim anyway.

  • hope they will have more stock coming for sale at this price.

  • +5

Just picked mine up… The lady said that they've just been notified that it was incorrect pricing.

    • +2

      there you go.. mystery solved.
and i still got 2 negs

    • Received the email saying the mouse was ready for pick up. Drove 20mins to pick it up. When I got there, I was told that my order has been cancelled 5 mins ago because it was a pricing error. Sucks as I saw the mouse on the shelf for $85. Credit card was already charged.

      • doh…. double sad… no mouse and no dough

  • I called JB to price match and they checked on the website of GG's and so coincidently they're out of stock meaning I have no proof. Anyone help?

    • +1

Screenshot of price when it was in stock at GG

      http://imgur.com/a/ZjEfG

      • thanks fam, owe you one

        • did they price match it for you? Do you just walk in and show them the screenshot? Thanks.

        • @johnnyle:
Didn't work for me. Rang the store and after 20 minutes she referred me to the national hotline as she couldn't match a price match from another location without seeing the item in stock at a local competitor

        • @dynamike:
          Thanks for the info.

        • +1

@johnnyle: Haven't actually tried it yet, but, when I rang my local GG they said they have it in stock and said they sell it for 89. I told them to chekc their website and they say "its unavailable, and we can't do it for the price you're saying it". In other words they're (profanity). However, I have yet to go instore and show them a screenshot.

      • Pretty sure that doesn't work for most places. Reason being could be photoshopped - but some may be fooled.

    • The price at TGG is already very low 77% off. If you expected just a little bit lower, by the time they do price match, it would be out of stock because by that time it would be ozbargained already. They need to call the store to confirm it's in stock when doing a price match.

  • Just picked up the mouse from my local TGG….BARGAIN!

  • +1

Any idea how long it normally takes for item to be shipped? Hope mine gets shipped out (got an email notification saying order received at 10:00am; 3+ hours ago)

    • Same. 9:45 I got an email saying stock had been allocated to a store for processing. Still not shipped..

  • Can we all recall back to the $4 Canon printer deal last year where the Good Guys claimed it was a pricing error, said they would fulfil some orders and refund the rest?

  • Got a call a earlier saying there was a pricing error and order has been cancelled. Ow well

    • .. doesn't look promising for those who have ordered from their website then. Guess I should be looking out for an order cancellation. What a bummer

    • Oh crap, guess I'll be expecting a call shortly then. :(

  • Sht, I missed.

  • +2

GG's sent me a tracking number and the courier is showing they picked it up! Seems i have been super lucky

    • .. was this just recently or some time ago? Great job anyways, defo a good bargain :)

      • Ordered at 9.17
Got my invoice (with tracking number) and send confirmation just before midday

    • Very lucky! What time did you order?

      • +1

        Ordered at 9.17
Got my invoice (with tracking number) and send confirmation just before midday

        • Nice. I just got an email saying the courier will be picking mine up tomorrow… Hoping it happens!

This was a genuine oversell of this product and as per our terms and conditions, this email is to confirm that we are unable to fulfill your order and have begun processing your refund. "

    • I got this email too but also they're giving me a $20 store credit. Did you get it too?

    • +3

Same, the disappointing part is that they are choosing to lie about oversell rather than not wanting to ship a pricing error.
Good part is $20 credit, though not valid for long.

    • Got this email too and the $20 store credit.

  • Just received an email to let me know my order has been canceled due to an oversell.

    Disappointing.

  • +3

Yep got the cancellation email. Received a $20 store credit (no minimum spend) for inconvenience caused though, which is cool.

    • +1

      Same here.
