haha, purchased one of these and the string was tangled within 2 minutes x.x that said, it was $20 before, and since its $5 its worth getting another set =]
Oh these.
They are pathetic.
Probably can only be used to catch little useless fish like puffers on the shore/ wharfs.Finally a topic on Ozbargain where I consider myself expert. It can't be to bad for $5.
If it tangles I'm not so sure that I would blame the gear!
Why can it only catch small fish, I realise that the reel is small but I doubt that many inshore fish will strip more than 10m of line from your reel.
I have caught some good fish on inferior tackle like this, and any fish that a kid catches is a beauty.
Agreed, five bucks barely gets you a happy meal nowadays!
To get a serviceable fishing kit for that, and the fun you could have spending time with your kids whilst teaching them a new skill is priceless IMHO! :)
Agreed (again). The line may be poor quality…. but it isn't hard to load up the reel with some better quality line, to avoid tangles.
Cool, now I can sit on the couch and let the Feline chase the mouse.
