        yes, get version 2 of the NiteCore TIP, where there is no "lockout drain" and the red light doesn’t blink when you lock out the light.

        The red LED under the buttons flashing when the TIP is put into "lockout mode" is a tell-tale sign that you have a TIP v1.

        The TIP v1 had a battery drain issue in lockout. Peoples batteries where going flat in lockout mode after only 4 days. This is fixed v2 of the TIP.

    Bought one of these from yoshop back when they were 3.99 USD but never received it. I did buy one from banggood a little while before that which arrived after about a month, not sure what the price was but i think it was cheaper than this so i'll wait until it drops further.

    It's still a good price seeing as though these sell for $30+ here.

    45 lumens is great for kids. The TIP (i agree is great), but is too bright for kids that might shine it in their own or others eyes.
