        Chance of failure on these units would be around 2-3% or around $3-4.50 on $148. In the unlikely event of a failure Amazon still has returns and you can usually convince the chat rep to cover postage..

        I had the original AD700 from 2007 until 2012 I think, they were used & abused, taken overseas multiple times, and given around to friends too. On top of all that, I'd say one of the drivers failed because there was a strong pull on one of the wires which caused it to get damaged. So I doubt they'll just randomly fail for no reason. Chances are you'll have them for 10 years without any issues.

  Just a FYI on these headphones - they are open back - which means that your ears can "breathe" and you get a more true sound compared to closed back - BUT - they bleed A LOT of noise. Which means that everyone around you will be able to sing along.

  Don't get it - how are you reading 3camel - it shows it was US$7 cheaper Feb 20. This is a good price but a silly comment as it's been hovering around this $99 price for at least 6 months…
