what makes this a worthy purchase?
Just don't tear/lose the rubber coupling that connects the jug to the base, they don't sell replacements, and then the whole thing is useless :(

Good Deals
Had mine for years
Wasn't it released in 2016?
2014.
Whole thread on Whirlpool by "Sail".
Mine was the 1200W model that had replacement jug sent due to a previous issue now resolved. Everyone got a free new jug sent because there was a problem with blade so they had different blades made.
20% off via Kogan's Dick Smith eBay store using CYBER. Last day.
Handy blenders at the price. Have more than one.
I keep saying get off the net go to sleep.
Yup buy from Dick Smith store for 20% off using (CYBER) and don't forget cash rewards (ebay) for 2.6% cash back = $69.35
Nearly forgot cash rewards. Thanks, can't complain about the price :)
Thanks for the heads up - was looking for a decent/cheap blender for cocktails.
I bought one through their previous deal, which only lasted 1 month! They didn't do the repairs or offered a replacement because they were all sold out! So, the refund was the only option. This one is not good for carrots apparently!
i boil vegetables in a rice cooker, then use this blender (or similar) to make soup. I bought mine from aliexpress, and they offered bundled deals of replacement blades, and the connector to the base. After using it for the last 6 months, i now know why they bundled them, because they will wear away. still great value.
very tempted i've only ever had really cheap ones that seem to go after very little use start to smell burning etc. I want something that'll last a while but 90$ is pretty steep for me :D
