This night filter is crap. No material design.
Looks like an mit app inventor app.
And for 20¢ you could get twilight or darker if you time it right…
Twilght is occationaly 20¢ every 3 months.

By the way this is not you 0p but infact the shitty deal.
    Just a PSA.

I understand because I use Twilight myself (and picked it up for 20¢ a while back).

A deal's a deal, so I shared what I found with the community.

      • That's why we love you.
        Thanks😘

My brightness setting is a slider in the pull down screen menu ie 2 swipe actions. Not sure why need a app to enhance that?

    • I'm no scientist or expert on these things, but they market these night filter apps as being safe or better for your eyes and general wellness when it comes to sleep because they supposedly cut out certain lights that are emitted from the screen.

Sliding brightness controls is one thing, but cutting out all of the blue light (again, according to the experts) while reading at night is better for you. Have a read of the Twilight apps description (see Op's link above). It talks about the photoreceptor in your eyes taking in too much blue light making you more awake (or your kids hyperactive before bed).

  • How is voice recorder over phone call? Does it record from headphone or just from microphone?

Recording from mic or much higher quality digital recording depends on Android OS kernel.

Some brands can do it using stock kernel, others you need to flash third party kernel if it exists or you can only record from mic.

      • Is there an easy way that I can check? It is not working on my Moto X style. I am going to flash it to 3rd party rom after a year.

        • Not sure of a way that you check this from your settings, but one way to test is to use the app.

          1. Download the free version of the app
          2. Record audio that is always the same; for example, put your phone next to your TV and turn your Xbox or PS4 on and record the start up audio.
          3. Without moving your phone, change the recording settings in the app.
          4. Go back to step 2 a few times until you have enough sample recordings to compare.

It's not the best method, but you will hopefully be able to see if your phone can do recordings at different quality.
