Vitamix Professional Series 300 - $749 @ David Jones Website

60

If you're in a market for Vitamix, this would be one of the cheapest prices so far (as comparison I bought mine for $895 less 10% off from eBay code, but still more than the price now)

They also have this total nutrition centre version at $649.

Obviously not everyone is willing to pay this much for blender, but for those who value this blender, it is a good deal.

  • What's the difference?

  • Between the nutrition centre and pro series? I think the pro series has slightly more powerful motor @2.2 HP compared to 2.0 for total nutrition centre but among the pro series themselves, pretty much same stuff but more expensive one = more pre programmed mode + different recipe book.
    Type of jug also different.

I personally prefer wide shorter jug on 300 as it means easier to blend (less usage of that blending stick)

  • Just sharing my experience with this blender, it blends raw carrot, apple, etc so effortlessly into a liquid. I'm amazed the amount of fruit I could just have from 1 glass of blended fruit/vegies compared to having to eat them one by one.

If you have trouble feeding your kids vegies/fruits, this might do the trick as it will blend the combination of fruit and vegie to a nice cold tasty smoothie.

You can also blend your own mix of banana/yoghurts/nuts/etc and store it in a to go drink bottle and there you go - filling liquid breakfast on the go for you to drink on train/while driving.

  • Last time I bought pro 300 from myer last year but I had to return due to getting black particles (like vanilla beans) from the blade seal everytime I blend. Apparently it is pretty common issue and Vitamix addressed the issue by just replacing the seal from black to a transparent colour so you can't actually see them.
I bought Blendtec from Costco after returning vitamix but it isn't as good as Vitamix (but at least I'm not consuming extra stuff with my smoothie)

    • Interesting. I bought it around the same time as you I never noticed any black particles.

  • An alternative I've had for a few years, and use daily:

  • +1

Seriously try this for 89 dollars, I use it daily for years and looks like and probably performs the same as more expensive ones. https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-1400w-vitablast-blender/

  • As luke has mentioned, do yourself a favour a purchase one for $90 instead. I bought 1 from aliexpress and another one when aldi carried commercial blenders for a limited time and they have both turned out to be just as good and still running strong for 2 years. They are more or less the same. Don't fall for the hype and pay $800 for something you can get for $89!

I have no vested interest here and not attaching any links. If you search on aliexpress or kogan you can see plenty of similar machines that does the same thing. Do your wallet a favour and not overpay for something as rediculously priced as this.
