Beijing Return | ex Melb $276 | ex Syd $290 | Hainan Airlines @ IWTF

900

More great return fares to China. Flights I found are for travel in Apr-May & Aug-Sep, but check from your own city as other dates may be available. Prices are for payment with a debit card, so a small additional fee may apply if paying by credit card. Enjoy :)

I said to my girlfriend I'd take her to Sydney for the weekend.

Be cheaper to go to Beijing.

      BJ ;)

    • The $120 visa fee is unfortunate.
But I guess the ball is in Australias court on that one, Aus has to offer a free/cheaper tourist visa to Chinese before China is going to consider returning the favour.

      • That's actually not the price of the visa. It's the outsourced company that does the visas that charge a fee on top of the actual visa price. Back when you could go to the consulate to do your visas directly, it was cheaper.

Aus government charges $135 for them to come here.
So commercial overheads or not they are still doing it cheaper than our government.

        • @joelmuzz: Had no idea of the cost for them to come here. Damn that's savage of us considering we rely so heavily on tourism!

        • @Munki: That fee applies for all countries that are not rich/first world

      • I thought the VISA was $60 for single entry plus $49.95 fee for the VISA centre to process it.

        $109.95.

        Have I missed something?

    Any cheap Pattaya flights??!

    • Username checks out?

    • AirAsia has a sale on now. If you book all the legs separately (and sleep overnight each way in KL to increase the chances of making a connection) and take carry-on only you'll pay less than $300. Obviously a less impressive deal…

  • April and May are good months for a tour in Beijing, it is still cold there now.

Just wondering if it's actually worth doing 15hr+ flights for a 5 day trip…?

      • My thinking is if the flight is around 6-8 hours I'd want to spend a week at my destination to make it worth while. Around 15 hours would be 2 weeks. Anything above 20 hours would be 3 weeks or more. I guess that's different for different people though?

      • Why not? When you want to commit.

  • At a saving of $1000 over shorter flights I'd probably say yes.
