    or $308.41/TB

    • +4

technically $293.72/TB since this is a 1050GB drive but +1 to you anyway! :D

  • Are these fit on black trash can a new 2013 mac pro?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/296891/revisions#586860vs5…

OP, why not be open about the shipping charges?

    • I added '+ shipping' because shipping charges might be different depending on where you're located? I don't see a problem with that

      • It's a flat rate for all of Australia @ $8, hence why I had it in the title.

Not disclosing any sort of postage charges just seems strange to me… Something I've only seen store reps try to hide.

        • I don't think that justifies being reported for 'sockpuppeting'. I'm not even a store rep, I just have an interest in ssd prices. Past deals from the same store on ebay have included '+ shipping' in the title so I'm just following what others have posted since i'm relatively new here

          @a123dot:

I'm not even a store rep

          That's what a sockpuppet would say ;)

Lol maybe try to vote/comment on other deals for other stores…? We have a big site here full of good deals, surely you've bought from 1 of those deals before and could give it an up-vote?

I'm just following what others have posted since i'm relatively new here

Might be worth having a read of the guidelines if you're new and not sure.

Might be worth having a read of the guidelines if you're new and not sure.

and according to those guidelines, I've done nothing wrong yet you've accused me of sockpuppeting.

Going by this deal earlier today, the OP didn't include shipping in the original price either.

If you'd messaged me saying that I should add or retract something from my post with an explanation of why, I would've been glad to.

          @a123dot:

and according to those guidelines, I've done nothing wrong

That depends on how loosely you wanna read the guidelines:

If shipping is required, state the shipping cost to major Australian cities if this information is available; approximate range is ok if the exact cost is variable or not available. (Store representatives must provide this information - there should be no reason to hide this from potential customers.) At the least, state ”+Shipping”

Price was available regardless of which postcode you put into the calculator.

yet you've accused me of sockpuppeting.

Maybe I should stop replying if you really don't have a thick enough skin to deal with the fact that the signs were there. It was just a report, that's all, and I hadn't said anything on here about that report until you did. I reported so mods could check it out, nothing more nothing less.

Going by this deal earlier today, the OP didn't include shipping in the original price either.

I know, and it was for the same store, which raised eyebrows :)

If you'd messaged me saying that I should add or retract something from my post with an explanation of why, I would've been glad to.

I made the change to be transparent. It was the change back that was strange.

Anyway that's enough from me. As I said, if you can't see that the signs were there then you haven't seen as many deals (and sockpuppet deals) as I have. All well and good that it's not true :)

          • Please don't accuse new members of sockpuppeting. Use the report link ONLY.
          • Please include shipping charges in the title.

          Let's finish this conversation here.

Finally a decent use for that connector on the motherboard …. and the existing 1TB SSD for storage :-)

PSA: The M.2 interface can support both SATA and PCI connections. Be sure that your laptop supports the relevant connection type before buying.
Even though the description does not say it, this is SATA.

    • +1

thanks - I've added that to the description

If you don't need a bigger SSD, wouldn't this be much better ?

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-960-EVO-500GB-M-2-NVMe-PC…

Works out around the same cost, and almost 6 times faster reads. Why bother getting a M2 ssd and get same performance as regular ssd ?

    Storage 500GB
    reads : 3200 MB/s
    writes : 1900 MB/s

    • +3

Well for 99% of use cases, you'll barely notice a difference between the two and more storage will make more sense. The M.2 form factor is also useful as it allows you to hide the SSD away on the motherboard, so no cables are required.

    • +1

For example, some computers only support SATA on their M2 slots.

My dell laptop only has 1 SATA M2 slot for storage, and no 2.5 bay

  • Has anybody's shipped yet? Seems like FastShippingTech is an inaccurate name for these guys
