Consider the jbl Xtreme if u can fork out a little bit more. Much better speaker. Same with jbl charge 2.

  JBL Charge 3 is good too, Idk how it sounds as opposed to Mega Boom, they currently on sale for $199 at JBHIFI

  I've had both. Replaced my megaboom for Xtreme.
  
  Xtreme is great! big sounds but it does get too hefty to carry around. Megaboom is loud but bass isn't so great.
  
  Sold both speakers though, I hardly used it in the end :)
