What ever happened to the good old days of 20%?

    • +6

Gone. done and dusted. Last one was 2015?

    • 20% Sitewide happens when eBay are in damage control from significance incidences. They've been pretty low-kew lately.

  • +7

Ends at 23.59 (AEDT) on 2 March 2017

    • +1

If it lasts that long. I think sitewide coupons often expire early?

      • Often? How many times has it happened?

        • I can recall a couple of times. Maybe often was a strong word to use, but definitely sometimes.

I've been burnt by wanting to buy something only to have the deal pulled early.

    • +1

      -3 and counting mate

        • Damn son. Would have been a good deal to cash in on.

        • +1

          @Prevenge:
i got in on that, you could only get 1 per person to qualify for that discount from memory

Sold it a few months ago when gold peaked again but only really made $80 on it for a 1.5year investment

I have to admit… A few weeks ago I got a friend to purchase an item from me for $3000 using a 10% off voucher, but I also had free 10 no-fee listings, so after paypal fees I made $225 on the 'sale'.

    • -2

Dont forget you must tell the ATO as it is income otherwise you will be audited.

      • It was a personal goods sale, as a one-off sale of a household item no longer needed.

        • Did u use cashrwards to get extra 1.3%?

        • @Turd:

No. hmmm, didn't want to push my luck. Also, lots of jealousy hate coming through as negs, lol.

        • +2

@hell0: Unprofesional!!! LOL Coulda saved a bit more. Do it and do it right no half arsed. Since you are buying a personal item for personal use it wont matter ;)

      • +1

        Who cares about ATO….

Professional ozbargain'er must, if we are to survive and purchase Sydney property with all these promos and deals.

          Who cares about ATO….

People who aren't leeches and contribute to society?

  • No price jacking from what i can see. Were the sellers not advised of the code ahead of time?

    • It's sitewide meaning ebay is taking the full hit. I'd assume certain stores will be in the process of raising prices throughout the day today so get in quick!

      • Far less likely they will be raising prices. They'll still be competing with everyone else on ebay who also has the discount.

    • Not yet.

    • 10% ones are normally sucked up by ebay, the higher % ones are split 50/50 with the seller. So they have to jack prices to cover increased loss.

    • Found some items that had their prices raised today by appliancesonline. Checking the history of revisions makes it pretty obvious.

PS4 Pro or Nintendo Switch.. that's what i'll be looking for..

Just bought a $600 item of ebay a few days ago, thinking that another one of these sitewide deals would probably take months to come back.

    D'oh!!

    • +4

      There there, have a +1

      • Haha, thanks. A small consolation. The item was already 50% off, so I'm not too unhappy, and the reason I bought it straight away was because I didn't know if the discount would continue to be offered.

        • $600 after half price - what was it?

        • +1

          @superm86: A citizen watch.

Gammon brah I spent $2398 on Friday night

  • good time to buy a mavic!

    • anything to consider before purchasing one from overseas?

      • you need to post it back if you want to repair it. or you may buy a Dji care here in AU, then Dji AU will do their job with your Mavic.

        • cheers mate, was considering purchasing the DJI Care Refresh as well anyway,

    • $1530 inc. shipping is the lowest I can find for Aussie stock (allegedly), but I doubt any of the sellers can or will provide an invoice with GST…

  • +1

I'm guessing this will work for international purchases on eBay.com.au?

    • +4

It does. Tried a few things at checkout.

      • Thanks. That helps me.

was looking at a washing machine last night from good guys.

bumped up the price from $636 to $749

  • If i add several items to my basket which is in different currency will the 10% off still work or all im sure in past it only worked if that currency was all same this will be different currency to make up the spend.

And does it work on overseas purchase

    • I've tried that with the '$20 off $100 purchase' on items in USD and PLN in my cart. Did not work. I have had it work when all items were in USD. Also, when I had an item in USD that when converted was higher than AUD $100, the code did not work and said that I did not meet the minimum of $100, led me to believe ebay wanted to see a $100 USD minimum. So weird. (I only got to use a 10% off promo code then)
