Missed Air Asia Flight in Japan Kansai

Hi guys.

We missed the flights for Sydney. Anyone that can help would be greatly appreciated.

The cheaper the flights the better. I can leave the following day. Right now, all I can find are $800+ flights for singles which is pretty pricey.

Thanks

I am travelling with 3 of my mates as well.

EDIT:
Thanks to those that helped! I did however made it back to Sydney. Costed me 3/4 of my savings though. Thanks!

  • did you try contacting them directly and rebooking, no solution they could work out for you?

Yep, I went up to the check ins and they say I had to rebook a whole different flight. Feeling bummed.

  • jetstar is probably the next cheapest. sorry to hear, but do enjoy japan a little more.

yep jetstar seems to be the cheapest at the moment

About $600 ish on Jetstar tonight according to Skyscanner…

But maybe a bag will take it to $700.

Edit: with 20kg bag looks like it will be 54,704 JPY which is about $635.

you can kill time eating blowfish (fugu), a local delicacy a bit like playing Russian Roulette. Expats tell me sleeping at graveyards is perfectly safe, nobody bothers you there.

    • I've done that, tasted like another fish to me.

    • The fugu are now farmed with no poison at all.

The real wide one costs you a fortune, but the farmed one is only 1/10 of it.

  • lol

  • Flights out of Osaka starting from $350 AUD + Luggage

    • 7 March?

      • Yep, ballsed that up.
I was happy thinking I was going to save these guys some coin too.

but u have selected travel date Tue 7 Mar, doubt op would wanna stay at osaka for nearly 2 wk prior to departure…

      • lol, the cost of accommodation let alone doubting they have leave or the time to stay longer would probably outweigh the cost unfortunately.

That sucks. Last minute flight prices are on another level. On the plus side, for last minute flights on a Friday night it's not that much worse to fly from Osaka last minute than typically cheaper Asian destinations. Or even domestically in Australia. You can spend $400 last minute if flying from Melbourne to Sydney with Jetstar…

If it was me I would probably get a job as a guest on a humiliating Japanese game show and fly back on the 5th of March with AirAsia. Unless you have a job or life to come back to in Australia.

  • missed flight because too much fun at Kabukicho? :D

Adioso is a bit different to all the usual search engines as it will cobble together itineraries on all the low cost carriers so i thought it would be worth trying there.

It is coming in at $611 one way on philippine airlines tomorrow.
$534 on Jetstar if you can wait until Sunday
$404 on Airasia if you can wait until Tuesday.

Google flight search is a more typical search engine and isn't yielding anything cheaper.

When the dust settles, remember that you can claim back the taxes (usually a big % of AirAsia Sale fares price) less a small processing fee.

    • Could you elaborate on that?

        Sure can!

And if you don't get a reply within 2 weeks go to their face book, leave a 'hurry up' message and quote your reference. I have done it a dozen times, and in spite of their reputation, I have ALWAYS had a positive result.

        • I don't get it, is tax claimable because op missed his flight so he is claim back the tax on original flight?
