man, I would love to hear from anyone who can actually use all of 50Gb in one month.

I mean, I'd happily pay $60 for a yearly contract.

I think this could replace 🏡 connection for light users

      • Yeah it is to supplement phone plans for people using data at home or heavy mobile users if you have a 2 sim card phone or a mobile modem.

Also good for renters who don't want locking to land broadband in case they need to move house.

Are you for real? Do you know how easy it is to use 50GB with even basic internet use? Why do you think this DATA plan with no call component exists?

      Not going to happen.

Is that you Bill Morrow, CEO of NBN?

  • I'm absolutely clueless about mobile broadband - could I use this if I have a USB dongle for my laptop?

If so, how does that actually work? Is there just a username you use to log on or do you have to physically put the sim into something?

    • In my experience with similar services, OVO will send you a sim card with details enclosed on how to activate the sim online. Then all you need to do is pop the sim into your usb dongle and it's all plug and play from there.
The only possible hiccup might be a need to faff about with the usb dongle's APN settings if it is not configured automatically. You need to get it to connect to the OVO network (Optus 4G), and instructions for that can be found online.

  • 4G?

OVO have left friends of mine without service for a week in the past. I hope that is behind them now

  • I just left OvO for Vaya which offers 70GB for $65 per month.

Better service and speed for sure.

I was in a big headache deciding which data only plan to get between jeene and vaya and ovo. Ovo was my final decision mainly because they were the only prepaid option, vaya and jeene are only postpaid plan(Very scared of bill shock with my high data usage).

    • is Vaya also prepaid?

How could the speed be different? I had a look and they are both on 4G Optus?

  • Have purchased this on behalf of a friend last time it was around. Have been on the subscription for many months, using a 3G modem I had bought off another ozbargain deal. No speed complaints, streaming good quality television every month.

  • If this plan had calls, it would be my one-stop-shop. Shame!
