I found this one by chance this afternoon when trying to renew my existent licence. I like the software, I believe ZoneAlarm still uses the Kaspersky database, which is probably the best database. I always recommend a 30-day trial before buying any antivirus. Some installed software might cause incompatibility issues that you will only discover when it is running.
If you think that you don't need a software like that because you don't click on links or don't download anything, just DON'T! You don't have to come to a post about antivirus and share your opinion against them. Cheers.

ZoneAlarm was pretty good "back in the day".. They wouldn't be my first choice at the moment. The Norton products are a better option these days.
I tried Norton, Kaspersky, BitDefender and eset.
eset seems lightest while still offering comparable protection to Kas.I uninstalled Norton because I couldn't change its behavior of performing full PC scans whenever the PC is idle.
The ZA firewall has a real-time pop-up notification system that shows you when a program tries to dial home, and lets you then allow or deny it either temporarily or permanently. Very handy for shutting down apps that have no business connecting to the internet, and identifying ones that do that you didn't expect to. Haven't seen that in any other firewall.
Wow, zonealarm still around. heh…
Yea, I surprised too…
ZoneAlarm, Windows XP and BigPond 512k broadband @ $99pm for the win :-)
I tore up the internet back in the day :)
Been using free Comodo Suite for years. So far so good.
comodo a great FREE* Internet Security package
however they do have weak signatures database.
when it comes to removing 0 days things it can be a issue. unless you know what it is then kill switch it.
they have a great sandbox, firewall, behavior blocker, Virtual desktop box.
any one pc's i clean i put comodo on there as i know it works.
I now use Binisoft firewall. It is simple and very light as it is just a front end for windows firewall.
I used to use them for years, but stopped using them once I installed W7. IS a firewall other than the Windows one needed?
